  1. I thought it was fake at first glance also.
  2. I know, it was way too drawn out. When I saw Quicksilver jump on that table mid air & time kept moving slowly while it was gliding through the air, I just rolled my eyes & said, "come on".
  3. Come on, make it Tom Welling! +1000000000000 I really hope Tom will play Supes also. Regardless, this is good news for the show. Henry Cavill

  5. No way Jose. It will be lucky if it gets to $600. -J. It really depends. It's doing much better Internationally. I'd say it brings in about 160+ million domestic & between 400 - 450 International depending on how well it does in China (probably 120+). I don't think it can earn much more than 600 though. Seems like most movies are doing below expectations this year. I'm not just talking about Superhero fatigue either, it seems to be hitting all genres. They're just coming out with too many movies in too short a time frame & pulling them from theaters faster than ever before. BvS for example, is coming to DVD just 12 weeks after it's debut. We use to wait around 5 months.
  6. A four-show crossover would be quite the experience. And the CW can do this now without any boundries.
  7. While I'm very happy to see Prison Break coming back, I'm really sad that the never brought back John Doe back to life. I really loved that show. I hope Purcell has a quick recovery. He certainly has a great attitude.
  8. I don't know how you can say I'm ignoring that fact, when that's basically what I'm pointing out. Birds having different beaks particularly suited to their environment doesn't provide any proof of evolution. It just provides proof of different varieties of birds. Seeing a caterpillar turn into a butterfly is proof of it's evolution. The Vedas say that There is 2 souls within every living entity, one is the the individual soul or atma & the other is the Supersoul or Paramatma (an expansion of God to watch over the individual soul). The Paramatma is described as existing within every atom of creation. I find it quite interesting that there's a large deity of Nataraja performing His dance of destruction right outside of CERN. There's was a man named Edgar Cayce whom you have probably heard of. He was known as the sleeping prophet & was able to tap into what he called the Akashic records. A source of information that seemed to pervade global events & he was able to provide all kinds of info that would only be proven many years after his death. Since this is the Apocalypse thread & deals with Egypt, it's interesting to note that Cayce in a trance said the Sphinx & the Pyramids are roughly 12,000 years old & were created by Atlanteans after the fall of Atlantis. Now despite that Zahi Hawass will deny this till his dying breath & advocate that they were built by Egyptians, I don't believe they were. Research has been done proving that much of the weathering around the Sphinx was caused by water erosion, which would put it's date back at least around5,000 - 7,000 BC. Cayce said there was a hidden chamber under the paw of the Sphinx, where 1 of 3 hall of Atlantean records were stored. Seismographic readings have been done proving that there is in fact several hidden chambers around the Sphinx but Zahi Hawass has prevented any further examination into their existence. Akash is a Sanskrit word that refers to the sky or ether. Considering that this planet is enveloped in a magnetosphere, I would hypothesize that the world is actually creating a record of events just as we have done with magnetic cassette tape in the not so distant past. I stopped reading after that. You don't understand the concept. That is not evolution. Just because it's not the same evolution you're talking about, doesn't mean it's not evolution.
  9. Blonde hair? Carrie Kelly!? Ya, I'm not a fan of her look here. Much prefer her look in the hunger games. They should have stuck with the natural brunette hair. Maybe it was meant as a disguise though.

  11. He did far more than look at the similarities between species. What from Darwin do you disagree with? It's not at all off-topic related to the X-Men given that evolution is the entire fictional explanation for their existence. Science maintains that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it simply changes form. If you take the life force or soul to be spiritual energy, then according to science, it's eternally changing form. I believe we devolved from spirit into different material species through the process of reincarnation. I don't believe for example that humans evolved from monkey's though. We can see how a fetus evolves from birth to death, but we can't however witness the process which Darwin describes, therefore it remains theoretical speculation. According to the Vedas, man has always existed & at a much superior level than today. It describes people performing supernatural/mystical feats like remote viewing, telepathy, telekinesis, size & weight alterations, shape shifting, etc... like you'd read in today's comics. There is also mention of a multiverse & much of quantum physics/mechanics was brought about through the study of the Vedas. Bohr, Heisenberg, Schrödinger, Einstein, Tesla, Oppenheimer, etc... all read Vedic literature. Apparently Newton’s entire work in Physics and Calculus was taken from the Vedas and Kerala book of Calculus.
  12. That would be awesome if they could make that happen. I actually preferred watching Agent Carter instead of AOS. This is really good news. I like this show & am happy to see the main actors defending it. I don't see why they wouldn't want to move it to Netflix. Seems like all of Marvel's non Netflix shows are getting sh*tcanned.
  13. God, I hope not. I'd much rather see Yvonne Strahovski or Emily Blunt get the part. Or even the better candidate. I could get behind that. Never really seen her in anything though. My brother watches Vikings & the 1 episode he got me watching didn't really peek my interest. I prefer Game of Thrones. She does look like perfect for the part but a bit older than I would expect them to go with. She'll be 40 by the time Captain Marvel starts filming. Although Yvonne Strahovski & Emily Blunt are 5 - 6 years younger, Katheryn Winnick might actually look younger than both of them.

  15. Yes, it was in the Wolverine. So the Wolverine takes place prior to present day in DOFP. I'd think the new Wolverine movie takes place after the present day time line change at the end of DOFP. I guess it does get a bit confusing. This movie has been quoted as taking place "in the future", which I interpret as after the final mansion sequence in DoFP. Exactly! That's what I was basically saying. Must have gotten lost in translation. The way you said it makes more sense to me. I have to rewatch everything to get it fresh in my mind to remember what sequence is tied to what. If X3 and Origins weren't so gutwrenchingly awful, none of this would have had to take place.
  16. Humanity didn't know what mutation was until Darwin in the mid-19th century, so isn't it likely that Apocalypse DID think he was a god? I didn't see it as a complex, I saw it as objective reality from his perspective. If you're the most powerful being in existence for tens of thousands of years, that sounds like a god to me. While I agree that Apocalypse's character wasn't well-developed, I don't yet agree that he was the victim of bad writing. Quite the contrary, I'm still more intrigued by his origin and what he went through over the ages of time than anything else about the film. Well, in ancient Egypt the rulers were considered the god's. I saw the movie & it was ok. Certainly better than BvS imo, but not nearly as good as DOFP. I know it's off topic, but since you brought up Darwin, I can't help myself. I do believe in evolution, but I certainly don't agree with Darwin's theory of it. Looking at similarities between different species over any given period of time, will never amount to proof of his theory.

  19. I think it would be interesting to see a female James Bond & a male Moneypenny. I can see Martin Freeman playing Moneypenny & Gillian Anderson as 007. It would certainly bring something new to the franchise.
  20. you haven't seen this movie or have you? I've watched it twice now. First go-round to enjoy it and the second to pay closer attention and catch things I've missed. That's two more times than I've seen it, I haven't even made it out to see Civil War yet.
  21. Regardless of how Iron's came off to press/readers or how this is spun, I'd say the guy has integrity. He was honest about his position, basically saying it did well but could have been better & that the next movie will be. Affleck defended the film while you could clearly see his disappointment in the results. That's my on the matter.
