    Yes, there were multiple copies but I don't think CGC gives the pedigree notation on MH2 amymore.

    First off, that is an exceptional looking copy. If you read the blurb on Clink about this book, it was hand picked by John Verzyl directly from Chuck, saying it was the best copy he had ever seen. While many others do not concur, I do give some creedence to the CVA sticker, it certainly doesn't hurt. There may be a little play here for a CGC review and possible 9.9 on this book. While I sense the Hulk 181 marketplace has peaked for now, I think this specific book easily hits 40K.

    Unfortunately, yours is much, much worse. I count at least nine of these pulls that look like they are turning into tears from all the opening of the comic. Hint, you should not have flipped through these page by page to take pics. The far right tear looks exaggerated and bent back. IMO, because of the severity, it will not be ignored by CGC. CGC is lenient on bindery flaws but only if they are 'mild'. The more severe, the deductions start happening.

    Heritage does the same thing, charges sales tax on the bottom line inclusive of shipping, Buyer's Premium, etc. I argued with them to no avail .They said their accounting dept advised them on this. I think CLink is doing it also. I sense the marketplace, in general, has peaked and prices are softening. This sales tax stuff isn't helping. I know I have backed off on buying in auction. I trust I am not the only one.

    That's a gorgeous book. I suspect it does have a shot at 9.8. I suggest you send it to CGC, in the slab, and ask for a review.

    Finally, an admission of the real motivation for this thread. Honestly, I don't think anybody cares about your self serving crusade. What does it take for you to realize you lost? Go home, start a new thread, watch some Beavis and Butthead reruns to expand your vocabulary. But don't forget to call CGC first thing tomorrow and ask if they think you are a raving lunatic.

    I just talked to CGC and they said you are a raving lunatic. If you don't believe me, call CGC, and ask them. This is what they say about you, and I never said I agree with it, but that is what CGC has 'said' to me.

    Obvious water damage on the bottom, permeating through the whole book. Looks like somebody tried to remove the grease pen marking. No pieces mssing. I'm at the 4.0 range, maybe a 4.5 .

    What exactly are you arguing for ? What do you want from CGC? CGC hasn't 'said' anything. Apparently they are not acknowledging a 1st app in comics for Stan. Maybe they are trying to respect him. If not for the possibility of more money for your comic , why are you on this crusade ? Nodody, and I mean nobody is seeing it your way (whatever way that is). Please leave .

    Bird, this is a book that was obviously restored with CT, then had amateur 'unrestore' with the CT scraped off while leaving the ink bleed inside. Because of the ink bleed, it is still restored. This book looks terrible. I hope your friend didn't do the amateyr work.
