  2. Thanks. Yes, here is my only real Okajima, from 1951,..... http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=17168&GSub=899
  3. I only own one Okajima pedigree, from 1951. I just noticed this book, a Wonder Woman 49 from 1951 has a simliar hand written code on the cover. Can anyone tell me if this may be an Okajima pedigree ? http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=12668&GSub=897
  4. Just purchased this from our own Boardie Rube..... Star Spangled War Stories 145. What a great cover. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=19496&GSub=894
  5. Two Showcase........ http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=19492&GSub=887 http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=19493&GSub=894
  6. Got this last year from a Boardie. Tough book for me to find in high grade. This example has incredible freshness in hand. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=15339&GSub=915
  7. I've been looking forever for a high grade 112, so tough to find. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=19420&GSub=935
  8. Here's one you don't see too often in high grade...... Marvel Tales Annual #1 http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=19173&GSub=887
  9. Incredible books. You just don't get those kind of books at an LCS anymore. Congrats. Chicago LCS ?
  10. I've had a Fort Knox safe for 10+ years. I would highly recommend them. Comes with a lifetime warranty. This past year the lock mechanism went bad. They send out a locksmith and fixed it all on their dime. No paperwork, no hassle, and very timely. Combine a home safe with C.I.A. blanket insurance for further peace of mind.
  11. I've seen that style of date stamp before, is it from the UK ? It is a sharp copy and it's probably NOT been tampered with. I just hope we don't see it in the future with a higher grade and cover shrinkage. The date stamp will be an easy trace. I also noticed the Clink scan is showing the blues as grey. They should correct it.
  12. I remember this being discussed on the Boards, specifically can you get a 9.8 with a date stamp. I know some examples were shown. Here is one I have in 9.8 with a date stamp. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=11530&GSub=894
  13. I like Paul Rudd but he is a comedian. Is this movie going to be a super hero spoof ?
  14. Congrats. Really nice books. Those are excellent grades for unpressed books.
  15. Beautiful book ! Great story, congrats. I love it when the history of a book can be ascertained.
  16. I heard the 120K private sale of a 9.2 from Doug Schmell is on GPA. I thought Doug's sales were not reported on GPA, something about Doug being selective with what he submits. Supposedly George said it was all or nothing, like Clink, and last I heard it was nothing. Anybody know the scoop on this ?
  17. Old label goodness, white pages, nice eye appeal, probably not pressed.
  18. Are these supposed prices for high grade BB28's real and sustainable ?
  19. Serious question. How can this sale be verified ? All I see is Doug saying he sold it for 120K. Personally, I don't believe it.
  20. Could have easily ended up in an 8.0 holder. I think it's over by .5. Top right is gonna keep the hammer price down. I agree about the gift grade on the 8.5. No doubt this is a beautiful book but that upper right corner crease stands out, stares you right in the face. Gift grades in a pedigree/collection has been discussed before. One theory is the graders get mesmerized when grading so many nice books and some slip by.
  21. The Curator is on the right, and a nice cgc 9.2 ow/w undercopy is on the left. The Curators have amazing paper preservation: Curators are amazing in hand. This is a beautiful #26. Congrats. We should use this pic when someone asks what's the big deal with pedigrees.
  22. I love the All Stars and this books looks great. Congrats. +1 I saw this in the Sparklecity auction and was almost going to chase it. My kind of book. Love it. Congrats.
