Having just finished Nier Automata, absolutely brilliant background music. My new favourite video game soundtrack. Sublime.

Just finished the necessary three runs through of Nier Automata to experience the full story. Great, varied gameplay, superb story with depth and intelligence, incredible soundtrack. Managed all of the directly accessible bosses on hard, but to get to the two super-tough hidden bosses would've required a lot of tedious grinding to raise my level from 72 to 99 and to fully upgrade all the weapons. Kept my saves, maybe I'll return sometime for punishment. Completely agree with the game's reputation - it's a masterpiece.

There is a precedent already for another good super-hero film to be set during this period; X-Men : First Class.

The Phase description always seemed very corporate to begin with, but initially appropriate as it was a very successful, focused, skyward building project for the first three of those periods. It was sad to have seen the incessant pounding away of the wrecking ball on that structure, thereafter.

Those guns were clearly a major influence on a young Rob Liefeld, I suspect.

And, the month before that, in issue 20, we had Molecule Man. A brilliant character that I'd like to see.

Good pick. There was a Futurama comic.

Atom Smasher / Nuklon originally had a Mohawk, as well.

As a JSA fan, I'm embarrassed that I missed these. Especially as Fate's one of my favourite characters.

I'd thought of that one, but decided it was more of a Mohawk cut.
