  1. Very Keynesian. If it was supply and demand in a market dominated primarily by collectors who actually care about comic books, I'd still try to keep connected to that. But, it isn't.
  2. Either a .cbz or .pdf file. With DRM-free .cbz you could also use a third-party comic viewer such as Chunky.
  3. Forgot about that one. The recent Dynamic Forces / Dynamite Entertainment Bundle was excellent. A lot of quality material, but even the filler series, ones I wouldn't consider buying as physical copies, were well-reviewed, solid stories online. So, a cheap, digital opportunity to broaden my horizons. DRM-free as well.
  4. Yup. There's a question about switching to digital 'if screens were easier on the eyes'. The 'if' is a bit redundant. They really need to look at an iPad Pro screen, especially the largest one, which basically displays comics at magazine size, brilliantly upscaled and sharp, and, as you said, with a great colour palette, and there's also automatic or manual tone adjustment to your personal preference. Never looked at a Microsoft Surface Pro equivalent, though.
  5. They really are exceptional comics, both for story and art.
  6. I've had a look at the journal. A very nice collection. Congrats !
  7. Comixology, either directly or via Amazon. You get frequent sales for a wide range of companies. The recent Image sale was excellent.
  8. I have. Not the newest books but trade paperback or hardcover collections in digital format, especially from companies that allow the creation of DRM- free backups, such as IDW, Image and Fantagraphics. Some Marvel and DC too.
  9. Should be 'bombproof' protection on that. There was a thread once that showed a Walking Dead 1 9.8 slab practically smashed into pieces while in transit. A tragic sight.
  10. I don't buy many of them because they tend to be bad to average. The Amazing Spider-Man and Wolverine Origins are the only PS3 / X-Box 360 period games I have.
  11. You forgot a certain type of pistonless rotary engine.
  12. For now, I'm really enjoying reading digital comics. One consequence of this is that I read some keys and find that they might be poorly written or drawn, dated, and that they often aren't anywhere near as good as I remember them to be. That attenuates a lot of the intense, nostalgic driving force behind wanting to hunt the books down, especially at their current, severely-inflated prices. I hope for a significant downwards correction in the market, which would then rekindle my interest in physical, newsprint copies.
  13. I played through this a few months back. It seemed pretty much to follow on from The Amazing Spider-Man film, both featuring The Lizard. Also, this loosely followed some of the details in the film...
  14. It's only a variation on Rogofsky's 'Do not ask for or expect a mint comic.'
  15. If we look at how interest in Howard the Duck and those early issue prices spiked after his teaser trailer at the end of the first GOTG film, I suspect it could be much easier to stimulate and sustain interest in Hobgoblin.
  16. I'll be honest. Jack Kirby as the One-Above-All was an idea used by Mark Waid in one of his FF stories, and by Alan Moore, in an issue of Supreme. It'll never happen on-screen, sadly.
  17. Or, the One Above All gets tired of watching Thanos' messing about and decides to intervene, with the Supreme Being of the Marvel Universe being represented by a CGI version of Jack Kirby. I can go sillier.
  18. Suck it. I’ll rephrase. Once Greggy posts that, you know you’ve finally made it. After 10 years, I’m still waiting.
  19. The mention that Xandar has been destroyed, and, one would assume the Nova Corps as well, is a very similar set-up to the beginning of the Annihilation saga, during which Richard Rider becomes the sole possessor of the Nova Force.
  20. Yup. Hardly exceptional at the time, but his more recent art in Starlin's Infinity Finale graphic novel is much better.
  21. He was created by science nerds on Earth who wanted to experiment to create the perfect human. Ayesha, in GOTG 2, parallels this in attempting to create a perfect example of her species, The Sovereign.
