  1. That's only VF-NM. I'd wait on another higher-graded copy with fewer spine ticks, no dust shadow, or whatever the unsightly defect(s) might be that brings it out of the ultra HG category.
  2. A key example of this particular type of Oriental xenophobia is Siegel and Shuster's Slam Bradley story from Detective Comics 1.
  3. We can do without the unflattering, demonising, ethnic / national stereotypes, to begin with.
  4. Homage cover, referencing the Adams-drawn X-Men 56 I posted earlier. Nice logo effect.
  5. Always liked the classic Action Comics logo. Many fond Bronze Age memories.
  6. I'm not sure if I'm more relieved or disappointed that my post was undeserving of a Screaming Homer.
  7. Great art and colouring from Richard Corben, but why obscure most of the cover with this enormous logo?
  8. A redesign far superior to the original logo... vs...
  9. Sounds a bit like old school grading from the 60s. Guaranteed to be in good condition or better, back then.
  10. Charles Soule also did a short run of She-Hulk, with a jarring change in art style part way through.
  11. Actually, never. Back in the mid-2000s I started my slab collection via eBay with a few 9.6 / 9.8 Pre-Unity Valiant Comics, and it was obvious that there must have been many 9.8 copies in existence, and so the repetitious claim, even then, sounded disingenuous at the very least.
  12. If that's what Triton looks like, it's a terrible redesign. This show just gets worse.
  13. I only have the Rawhide Kid Masterwork hardcover. Fun, Silver Age reading. Congrats on the original pence copy.
  14. I won’t be watching this for a while, so just checking if, in order to save on the CGI budget, the producers decided to relocate The Inhumans from the Blue Area of The Moon to the Canadian Rockies?
  15. At least Lockjaw has the option of leaving Attilan and joining the Pet Avengers instead.
  16. Yup. Always wise for a buyer to check for these complications, to avoid such nasty surprises.
  17. It does sound about right, allowing for inflation, maybe? My experience, described above, was a decade or so ago.
  18. Basically, you'll tend to get a card from the Royal Mail or Parcelforce with a message along the lines of' we've paid the import fees, we're holding your package / parcel, and for us to release it from our warehouse you'll need to pay our exorbitant processing charge', which for me, once, was over £10 on a $40 DVD. For a long time, items under £15 were exempt, but that was revoked a few years ago. Books, including comics, are still exempt, but not vinyl records or CDs.
  19. I've never been that interested in either cover-only book, compared to owning a nice Batman 232 and 251.
