  1. After an unexpected delay, here are some more books: Marvel Chillers #1 CGC 9.2 - $150 Seems to be a hot book right now.
  2. About time we had some updates. I just got some more WWBN 1s back and need the hype train to get them back up to where they were last fall.
  3. Just look at the variants on FOC each week, identify the ones with popular artists or first appearances that have some interest, and focus there. Remember that a lot of the online and youtube hucksters will be trying to sell you on books they are speculating on, not the ones that will actually pan out.
  4. Amazing Spider-Man #28 CGC 6.0 $600 Moved to eBay The slab has some scuffing.
  5. These X-Men will be available here for the next 48 hrs before hitting eBay. Reasonable offers are welcome. Listed prices are in $USD. Offers welcome on all books, but posted in the thread trumps PMs I have not responded to. Shipping Policy Slab Shipping: Starts at $20 in a small box with tracking and $100 insurance via Canadapost in Canada and the continental USA. Additional insurance will cost more, and overseas shipping will need to be determined. Combined shipping is available for multi-book purchases. I can also use Fedex for larger $$$ value purchases. Return Policy Slabbed Books: No return on graded books. Acceptable forms of Payment Paypal or e-Transfer
  6. Definitely. I am curious to see if the return of SW to Dark Horse means that the DH runs become canon for DIS SW D+ and movies as well.
  7. That is why the smart move is to chase the established keys and not the hot flavour of the week/month variant or modern movie/tv tie-in book. Since 2000 it seems like every 5 years or so we have a price spike on the big books, followed by the rest for a couple of years, and then a consolidation period. The spec plays tend to spike and then crash over a short period. Buy quality during the consolidation period and sell on the run ups.
  8. Comic sales were fine - it was an average show. The competing one was mostly sportscards and memorabilia, but there were a couple of card guys with comics as well.
  9. I guess we should trust Philips. Gaga is not a great actress, but he did a great job with the first film and has earned some benefit of the doubt.
  10. Now we will be getting Joker, the Musical.
  11. Yes. Check out prices on 9.8 common pre-90s drek for popular titles. They will surprise you.
  12. I think there is plenty of time, and demand will outstrip supply one the D+ shows and then movies hit. DIS is slow playing the development which is good.
  13. My brother is down in Australia. I should see if he is willing to sell books for me there. Is there a premium on prices?
  14. The show saw attendance dip from March, which is understandable looking at the time of year. There was also a competing collectibles show right across the street at another community centre. Some people did both, and some just did one or the other.
  15. Fantastic idea. You could pay for them with advertising.
  16. The funny part about all of the chosen one talk is that it was not Anakin, it was not Luke, it was Palpatine's grand-daughter.
  17. Almost time for all of us to flood the market.............
  18. Awesome. We can look forward to a fast paced action-packed film along the lines of Iron man, the Avengers.........................and Black Widow
  19. It's a little ironic since the Golden Age is known for having covers to get kids to buy the books, which don't necessarily have anything to do with the stories inside. Even the first cover appearance of Lois Lane is still debated 80 years later because the cover of Action Comics #27 shows Superman battling a lion and there's no lion anywhere in the book. 80 years later, and we're back where we started. "Buy the cover, don't worry about the contents!" This is why slabbed books with better than expected front covers for the grade fetch a premium. For my PC, I like chasing books with interior issues or damage primarily on the back.
  20. Yes It does not get much better than your initial assessment, which makes it standard Marvel/SW fare. I am hoping like others that episode 5 and 6 pick things up significantly. At least Book of Boba had the Rancor. So far this series is , with the Inquisitors being nothing more than high school bullies in the way they act.
