They are still inconsistent with newsstand labelling even when you note it with your submission paperwork. In a recent modern group I had 4 Canadian newsstand books noted as such on the CGC submission form. Three came back with Canadian Edition on the label, but the fourth did not.

Worthless without being sealed with the original dried up McHappy Meal intact.............

Ugh. Seeing this reminds me of how horrible the artwork was in all of the 4th world books. In some panels it looked like the characters were melting it was so poorly drawn. I am not a Kirby fan and have always felt his artwork was overrated (but not his contribution to comics as a co-creator of some of the most popular characters of all time), but his work on these titles seemed rushed. At that stage of his career it was too much work and not enough time.

I edited too slowly. I doubt that they will destroy the non-9.8s. They will just surface at a later date as a convention exclusive or something like that.

So they are slabbing 300 CBCS 9.8 copies? How many other 9.8s will turn up as they sell through the other copies as raws? I doubt that they will destroy the non-CBCS 9.8 copies.

So the peak now is basically what it was last year when the casting of Cable was confirmed? There are just too many copies in the wild that will press and slab into 9.8s.

Based on the movie, I would have expected that the book would have dropped big time after the way Arnold played Mr. Freeze.

It depends. I have found that my equities portfolio outperforms the real estate we dabble in from time to time (my wife still swears by real estate even though the financial statements say otherwise ). One big advantage of equities is that they are much more liquid than real estate - if you need to sell a property it may take months or even years in a down market. With equities, you can liquidate your position in seconds. From my experience, that is a huge differentiating factor between the asset classes. Heck, blue chip key comics are more liquid than real estate.

This book just keeps moving on up. The latest CGC 5.0 sale on GPA is $2995 in May 2018, and the most recent recorded CGC 5.5 sales was $3500 in March.

Not quite epic, but fricking expensive..........
