I would not doubt that there is more to this story than has been told by either side, but it is probably best for everyone involved to just shut up and let by gones be by gones now.

How close are you to getting HG copies of every BA DC + Marvel book? That's what your goal appears to be, anyway Who's collecting every BA Marvel? Got to agree, particularly with early BA marvel, the highlights are few next what DC was putting out at the time. BA DC all the way! Agreed. The best of the bunch is the Adams Batman and Tec run. I used to own two complete HG runs of almost every BA DC and Marvel thanks to two OO collections I snagged between 1997 and 2000, but those are long gone now. Luckily for me, they did not have any of that lame romance drek.

This is definitely interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing Bangzoom. I wonder, if any of these Superman concepts had appeared in a comic strip instead of a pulp magazine or sci-fi book, would they have had the impact that Action Comics #1 did?

I have received a message from CGC and the signed #251 should have been given a GLOD as well. I will probably send it in for relabelling with my next submission.

They don't (CGC) recognize sigs unless they are witnessed actually by a CGC official , and treat it as "writing on the cover" , ....or somthin like that ................. .... crappy explanation hooks They probably thought the 245 was a 9.0 expect for a major defect. I think I lucked out with with the blue label on the signed #251, but I am not going to complain about it! These two were bought from Mike/drbanner and there was an ad in the back of each mylar for a signing at Mid-Town comics (can't remember the date).
