  1. There are 3 copies of Sensation Comics #1 on eBay, 1 on CC, 1 on clink, 1 on Heritage offered for sale at the moment and there's going to be another 1 in the upcoming CC auction and 2 more in an upcoming HA auction. These are all public sales and I know of at least 2 more private collectors who wouldn't mind selling their copies for the right price. I don't see how Sensation Comics #1 is rarely up for sale Don't get me wrong, I like the book but there is not really a lot going on for it. If I remember correctly, Rick posted earlier in this thread that none of these books are really rare or unavailable.
  2. Very nice! And it looks amazing for a 6.0
  3. This thread has been dead ever since the freaking movie came out. Make it change
  4. bill is just sticker shocked and living in the 90's Gator is right, I do tend to price with my heart and not the reality of the situation. It probably is worth every penny he will ask. Don't mind me guys, I'm just a grumpy old fart that likes his GA cheap I like remembering those days (got my first OSPG in the late 90's). Even then you could actually afford secondary keys without having to choose between a mid grade book and a nice new car. A lot of the cool books have gotten totally out of reach today for someone who is only interested in collecting (actually keeping books for longer than 1 - 10 months). Thank you for sustaining that world, Ciorac
  5. HA! This is excellent! Thank you for the link (thumbs u I am a huge Green Lantern fan and the movie COULD have been such a hit. It was ok to watch, mainly out of interest and curiosity but I couldn't watch it again. It just hurts too much seeing how they killed a perfect concept. Anyway, that dude is on the spot with everything that went wrong.
  6. Very nice book Looks like somebody is expanding his d collection
  7. Looks like it is going to be released till early September, so it might still be way too early to tell.....not a good choice to stretch the release over a period of several months. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1133985/releaseinfo
  8. and yet it seems year after year, more and more "new" and "former" sa collectors move to gold Enh. I think that's more "hype" than anything else. There's a small pool of folks who move over to collect "the best". I don't see many see Captain Marvel collectors. To me, the vast majority of GA is going the way of Westerns etc. It's inflated in the guide overall, and even most of the non key mid range books of the major titles have shown little interest or movement in sales. Sure, some guys move to Timelys etc. But new folks entering in the market are generally going to SA/BA for vintage, not Gold. And I think the real question isn't why some people move over, but why more people aren't collecting Gold at all. There aren't "more and more" folks moving over. There are some, but nearly enough interest to support the vast majority of material which exists out there. matter of perspective, I guess...I see far more GA collectors approaching me at shows and inquiring about books than ever before... and I hear the "I used to collect spider-man" or whatever... that said, it is a matter, as mentioned, of perspective... will AF 15 demand always be greater than most any GA book... sure... will the affodability factor of most SA and BA keep a "majority" of collectors buying that genre...likely.... but, I see more former SA collectors asking about Gold, PM'ing me, etc etc, that is looks plenty bright imo... and no one has collected captain marvel in a decade plus
  9. (thumbs u I really liked X-Men 1st Class and hope you are right. Can't wait to see it

  15. Holy cow What a sale that was!! Definitely blew away my expectations I remember when that same book was listed on Comiclink approx. 6-7 years ago for 6K. It sat and it sat. How times have changed. Detective Comics 35 is definitely one of THE classic covers , but prices for this book have gone bzuuurk over last couple years.... George! Hey Ben
