    Agreed, if you are looking for a comic-related investment, buy Disney (Marvel) shares. They have tripled since the start date of this thread, paid a decent dividend, and are far more liquid. As Oakman said, comic collecting should be an investment in the joy of owning comics you truly treasure, regardless of their future worth.

    I have a hard time collecting slabbed Weird War Tales because I end up wanting to read them all!

    Great story and, based on the brief bio I read, well-deserving to have a pedigree named after him. I know there are other pedigrees named after original owners (Larson, etc), but aren't the majority of pedigrees named after where the collection was discovered? I wonder if they considered any other names for it, such as the Arlington pedigree?

    I see now how hard it is not to get swept up in the frenzy. It reminded me of when I was fourteen and my mom took me with her to Zellers and told me, "as soon as these doors open, you need to run past all of these women and make sure your sister gets a cabbage patch doll for Christmas!" This time there was less blood.
