  1. I don't know about a top ten, but my number one is 'Tec 411 - 1st Talia
  2. Won this on ComicLink tonight - one of my favorite Wrightson covers!
  3. Won this tonight, not a big book but one of my favorite Wrightson covers - blonde in a red dress, meet the crawling chaos!
  4. I'm sure those must've looked right smart. I bet they just mailed you a black felt marker with instructions.
  5. This cover is scarier than anything I've seen in the PCH thread. Creepy with a capital C!!!
  6. Baseball stars was the best game on that ... played that a ton ... So true, I don't even own a NES anymore but I still have that game (the only NES cartridge I own), just in case I ever get another!
  7. One of my favorite things about old comics are the ads on the back covers, thanks for sharing!
  8. I find it telling that Ultra Boy chose to use his penetra-vision on Clark, not Lana
  9. I'm surprised no one on the Doom Patrol suggested to Elasti-Girl that she wear pants. Maybe it helped distract the bad guys when she was 40' tall and looming above them in that mini-skirt.
  10. I know when I was still buying moderns the owner of my LCS was always encouraging me to subscribe with him. But I am far too picky to let someone else grab my comics. I like to be there comic day grabbing them fresh out of the box. And if there was an issue I wanted that was already sold out (like the New 52 Batman #1) the owner would always find one in one of the bad subscribers bins and let me buy it.
  11. I apologize for blowing the dust off this thread, but I was shocked to find there was one for Harvey comics! Some great comics in these pages, if I can find my Spooky #1 (most of my Harveys are early bronze age - the same issues I loved when I was a kid) I'll post a scan!
  12. I remember seeing the movie at a double-feature matinee (with Treasure Island) on a friend's birthday in the seventies. The movie was awesome and I'm glad everyone can find it on Youtube, because the DVDs sell for nearly $200 on Ebay!
  13. Too bad, never had a chance to check RX out. What did them in, the gentrification along the Kingsway and Main Street corridors kicking their rent into the stratosphere? Or buying more inventory than there was a realistic demand for?
  14. One of my favorite Hulk covers (I love it when he fights the Rhino). And look at how bright those colors are! Nice pickup.
