  1. What did you do to correct it? It looks like tape pull on the cover now.
  2. It doesn't matter if people continue to send books like that in because it will continue to go up in price. It's just the way it works. Ask yourself, are there any books you would gladly pay 2013 or 2003 prices for today? I'm sure you would. As others stated, it's supply and demand. Not many dealer will stay in business if they sold books for the price they paid for it. They're going to have to charge more and if their replacement costs go up so does the selling price.

  4. It's only 32 years old so keeping something from 1991 in this shape isn't hard to do especially if it's well taken care of. Have you ever seen any comic books from the 1980's? Those books are older and they even have copies in CGC 9.8s.

  6. If all you're buying is dollar stuff then keep it. You may regret it in the future. Now look for the 2nd print to get yourself a set.

  8. It's a basic question that can be applied to almost anything, not just comics. It wasn't a question about a comic but about as sellers reputation and reliability. If a mechanic has over 73,000 Yelp reviews and 13 negative reviews over 24 years. Is this someone that can trusted?
  9. It depends on whether on if the polybag obscures any potential defects on the book. It's worse than trying to grade a book that's bagged and boarded which can hide defects even though it's much clearer than polybags. If priced the same, I'd prefer one without the polybag.
  10. I've bought from him as well and had no issues. 2,014 positive feedback and one neutral feedback in the last 12 months for a high volume seller is not a red flag at all. So he had 13 negative feedback regarding lack of communication and over 73,000 positive feedback over the last 24 years, and you're concern whether or not you should trust this seller? Are you serious?
  11. Well if there are hundred of millions, or perhaps billions of dollars of customer items in inventory, then its unacceptable not to have an asset protection department team in place if they don't already have one.
  12. With all these "thefts" and missing books, I wonder why CGC doesn't have a loss prevention department to keep their employees honest and investigate these claims. I'm sure having millions of dollars of customer's books is worth hiring someone to investigate such losses, instead of waiting for a manager or customer service rep to look into the matter. While it's nice to do, they don't have to show you any video of them receiving the books. If you truly think someone stole the book then file a police report and have the police grab a copy of the video. That's how we do things where I work. We don't allow customers to review video due to privacy concerns...I guess, but if the police came in asking to see the video because they're investigating a crime then we'll even burn copies of the video for them.
