  1. I sent him an offer, but he turned it down. If you plan on sending him an offer, I suggest offering at least $40 since he turned down my $30 offer.
  2. This, I don't get. They'll grade your counterfeit/remanufactured books without a problem, but explicit books may or may not get graded. Books like Cherry Poptart and Faust gets a pass, but other books that aren't as explicit are a straight no. There is no standard.
  3. Does it matter whether or not CGC graded the book? What's to stop someone from claiming it authentic if it got rejected by CGC?
  4. Got it. You're praising the seller for under grading their books but over pricing the cost to ship. 🤪 Maybe the exclamation of "wtf"" lead me to think you were complaining. I can't recall a time when someone used "WTF" as a term for praise.
  5. As others have stated, the shipping price does not sound unreasonable at all. $259.99 for a lot of non-key books seem pretty high. I'd complain about the price of the lot over the cost of shipping.
  6. I think this is the first time I've every heard of someone complaining about an eBay grade being under-graded by several grades. The fact that he is under-grading and may not know how to grade should be a benefit. I'm not sure why you're complaining about it. Would you rather buy something that's over-graded?
  7. If you got your refund then it's the seller's problem now. It's sucks that the book was "lost", but you will be made whole by the seller.
  8. According to what's been posted, this book is a CGC 9.8 regardless of that 1" spine split and attempting to return it for being seriously over-graded is "return fraud". That sound crazy to me. If the book has been over-graded and the seller is aware of this, but stands behind that grade, isn't that fraud as well?
  9. If someone sent me that I'd think they were crazy. I definitely wouldn't want to deal with them.
  10. Honestly, if some dude off the internet sent me an "killing joke" image after asking about a book I was selling, I'd definitely avoid. Honestly, that a psycho thing to do.
  11. I'm not sure why the joker image was posted but if you posted that then the seller probably thought you were just wasting their time. What the heck does "Is a killing joke"supposed to mean? That indeed is weird that someone should send that. Do you mean it was a joke because you didn't know what "friends and family" meant?
  12. I also think it's a FN/VF. A press isn't going to help that paper loss.
  13. Wow, I hope you get your book back. Looks like they still can't get things in order over there. I read on their website that during the pandemic, they lost/misplaced a ton of books because they were sending books to employee's homes to enter them into their system and then send it back to their offices. Hope they're not doing that again.
  14. Right, because you're not adding anything to the book but the book will probably grade much lower depending on how much color touch was involved.

  16. I'm pretty sure if I were to buy a .5 graded book, I'm going to be looking at the book and not the census to determine if I want the book or not. Of course, whether or not it has a cover will definitely be factored in when I decide on a price I'm comfortable with. I buy books based on how much I want it considering the defects. Why not break-out defects on 9.8's such as if the book is centered or not?
  17. I'm sure there's quite a few of those garbage books to got submitted a few price increase ago. I agree, it's a huge risk for such small returns.
  18. Not everyone sends it in to prescreen which is probably why some of the grades come back so low on these books.
