  1. So I've been looking for a decent Scooby Doo #1 (it's on my saved searches) - saw this one up on the bay for a starting bid of $800.00 (thought about bidding but didn't). It goes for $800 to the single bidder. Private bids. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SCOOBY-DOO-1-CGC-6-5-WHITE-COMIC-1970-1ST-SCOOBY-DOO-AND-THE-GANG-GOLD-KEY-/132939340576?_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137&nordt=true&rt=nc&orig_cvip=true 2 days later seller puts same book up again $50 higher. GPA has already recorded the $800 sale. Maybe the same buyer can buy it again. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SCOOBY-DOO-1-CGC-6-5-WHITE-COMIC-1970-1ST-SCOOBY-DOO-AND-THE-GANG/132949696122?hash=item1ef46b5e7a:g:1CUAAOSw-hRcYc4c:rk:2:pf:0 The seller can thank me later for the publicity.

PMs are welcome after 24 hours of my posting however until a is posted in the thread it is still up for grabs. If you want to take a chance negotiating and someone else posts takes it while we are negotiating, you will lose. I have done quite a few deals on these boards from a few bucks to a thousand. I have always shipped quickly (and paid quickly when I bought). my kudos thread here: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/291436-boatfunds-kudos-thread/#comment-6668033 No longer for sale here, moving it elsewhere.
  3. blue label 2.0 (as long as no big spine splits or pieces missing inside). Why do you think it would get a green label? If it was an otherwise 8.0 with a detached cover then yes a green label. It's a lower grade so it gets a blue label. Lots of people would love to have that book, very tough to find a high grade copy.
  4. Bought this new off the shelf at Comics Nuff Said in Charlotte back in the day. Loved the Evangeline character. Slabbed it because I thought it would be the highest graded, it is - one of 2 at 9.6. Only 4 graded. Never pressed. Bottom left corner is fine, the picture makes it look rough, it's not. I would sell it a gadzillion dollars, maybe... nah.
  5. It appears to be in the "old" new case where the comic is between 2 sheets of myar iirc, there is no inner case. CGC only used them for a little while. I would return the book if I could. If not, contact CGC about this shifting in the "old" new holder and what has occurred.
  6. I had a similar situation happen here on the boards. Bought two books off a seller here. They accepted returns (I can't remember the exact terms 14 days, 30 days whatever). When I received them I checked them out and looked through for interior tears and missing coupons and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I agreed with the raw grades the seller gave them. Sent them off to CGC and about 2-3 months later one came back Qualified with a missing page. The seller had a stellar rep, but I never contacted him. I felt I had more than enough time to check the book out when I got it and it was my responsibility to accept or return it when I got it. I sold the qualified slab and took a loss. I would buy from the seller again. If the book had come back restored I would have contacted him, just fyi. I am not a resto expert but I can count pages. I realize everyone will not agree with me, but that's ok.
  7. I bought a Hot Rod Comics 1 from Eli, arrived just as described, I'm happy and would buy from him again.
  8. the last slab i received from MCS had 4 of those foam blocks (one on each corner), slab was in its own "slab box" (I forget what they are called), and paper packing surrounded all in the larger box. The slab box fit between the 4 foam blocks. And they did look like the picture posted however there were 4 of them), same 90 degree shape, same color. Looks like the similar outer box. I don't see the inner "slab box" in the larger box.
  9. Actually it's seller's responsibility to pack it well, simply putting it in a Priority Mail box with a little padding and blaming the USPS for damage is a joke. Those free Priority Mail boxes are so flimsy they are going to get crushed. This reminds me of sellers putting a raw comic in a manila envelope (and no cardboard wrap) and blaming the post office when it arrives damaged. I hope the slab is ok and the selling did a good job wrapping the slab for protection.
  10. Reduced further to $150.00 plus shipping, and it's near July 4th time to go to the beach.
  11. lots of lookers but no takers, and I know someone wants this book so the price is reduced from $200.00 plus shipping to $175.00 to now $150.00 plus shipping.
  12. Betty and Me #16 $200.00 $175.00 $150.00 plus shipping I grade it as 5.5 to 6.0 with off-white to white pages. Flat, glossy and never pressed to my knowledge (doesn't look like it) Complete, cover and all pages attached. Some spine wear and a reader's crease that parallels the spine, light creases at bottom right corner (and some interior pages in same place that are lighter), back cover has 1/2 tear at bottom (look right below the ad on the back page where you would begin to put in your address, it's in the white margin below that, a stain or discoloration at the back cover left margin edge that doesn't go through the back cover (inside is clean). General stress/handling marks. It might press a little better if that is your thing but that would be up to you. Pictures coming next.
  13. Rules: no prob or HOS list persons or the two people I have on ignore. Payment is Paypal only, I'll get your email addy and send you an invoice for payment. Only shipping to the USA. Postage is $10.00 Priority Mail - boxed and insured and this will be shipped within 2 business days of your paying. Returns on this are fine for any reason just let me know within 7 days of your receiving it and I receive the comic back in the same condition. I will refund the price of the comic only, not the postage. And you pay the return postage costs. Unless I screwed up something bad in the description. first unconditional posted in the thread wins. 14. The Highest Reorder Number (HRN) on the back cover tells whether you have a first print or not. Your HRN is 64 and is not a first print. An Overstreet Comic Price Guide will help you figure out what printing it is
  15. My best guess - seller #2 with the low feedback copied the title from higher seller (comicmylars). comicmylars uses codes a lot. The titles are the same except for the numerical grade. X-Men #2 CGC 8.0 1963 1st Vanisher! Wolverine! Key Silver Age! G11 213 cm clean (this is comicmylars that almost always uses a code - check his other items) X-Men #2 CGC 7.5 1963 1st Vanisher! Wolverine! Key Silver Age! G11 213 cm clean (this is kalus2-13 with only one item up) So it is a unique code to comicmylars and the other seller copied it and being a copier had no idea what the code meant but decided it had something to do with the comic. $5 each for solving the mystery, paypal accepted - boat is paid for but I could use some gas money
  16. Rick bought a Rocket Kelly from me and paid just about instantly. Thanks again.
