  1. Worth it for the music alone. Big Rock Candy Mountain is the best hobo anthem.
  2. Cable's belt is made of silver vibrators. Good job, Liefeld!
  3. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE ARE DISMISSING YOU! It SHOULDN'T be considered a 1st appearance and MANY people have gone on at length to explain why. NO ONE is saying you can't think that way...but you trying to convince everyone else that you're right is what people are rejecting.
  4. (thumbs u I think it's funny when I raise the price and the book sells. Best price is not always the buyer's motivation. More often, it's the right place at the right time. Which makes it essentially useless information for anybody looking at the market, just like if I find a Hulk 181 for $10, or manage to sell a Darkhawk 1 CGC 5.5 for $1000. I generally find your comments to be "essentially useless" as well. Your ridiculous internet personality aside, he's right.
  5. Beautiful DCCP 27. I keep finding beaters in dollar boxes but never anything nice. Also, Superman saying, "No!" is so unnecessary on that cover.
  6. I've sold Malibu Sun 13s and Superman Adventure 4s but I ALWAYS mention it's a PREVIEW appearance because...well, it is! There is a difference. the ONLY reason to be on Ween's side is to make money on weird books that other people aren't. Call that cynical but what real reason would there be to collect issues of Previews unless you're a total completionist? That's fine if you do! I'm not on the "what I buy is better than you" train but to try and say WE are wrong is pretty ridiculous. And everyone knows Darkseid's 1st app is JO 134. Whether that's his *market recognized* 1st app. is another story all together that is soooooo irrelevant to the topic of whether or not ads or previews can be 1sts. I think the more damning question would be whether or not YOU think Detective 27 is Batman's 1st app. or not.
  7. This has been so painful to read. Edit: Sorry RMA. I can't even imagine how you've been so calm.
  8. Huh? 9.8 =/ 5.0 What's your point? Please give me an example of someone paying 1-400 times the going rate of an item outside of collecting comics, only because it's in very high grade? Again...Huh? Coins, Sports cards, cars, toys....nearly the ENTIRE universe of collecting literally anything. Unless you collect damaged things on purpose. That would be pretty fun. So you can't provide a direct example, of something that sells for 400-800 times it's value in high grade in one of these fields? Which one is the typo? The 1-400x or the 400-800x? Because that's a largggggge difference. 1-400 is so ridiculous you're being obtuse on purpose asking for specific examples. the 400-800x? No idea and don't really care to go searching. 800x might be specific to comics...you might be right but that wasn't the first thing you asked. The larger point is buy what you want? I would NEVER pay those prices for a 9.8 of that but i'm also not totally shocked someone would. People spend hundreds of dollars on a hamburger...why not some random, 2nd print comic from the 90s? How am I being obtuse? Captain Crunch's book selling for $400-800 when NM ungraded copies are available (unsold) for $1 is being exact. I asked if you could give me a direct example, and you couldn't. Am I misunderstanding the first question? if you're asking for a specific example of something that is selling for 1 (singularly. ONE.) to 400 times it's normal price, then yes, that's being obtuse. That's how I understood your first response. If you meant something else? Whoops. I agree with you that it's a ridiculous price. But I'd be reallllllly excited to sell that to someone else.

  11. Ha! And now SA 4 is sold out at MCS. Good job, gang!
  12. It's an ad for the next issue. Ween, don't do that mess. You can believe what you want about appearances but you know for a fact very few people agree with you.
  13. I now shiver when I see Solarcadet's sig after all these pages.
  14. The Famous Funnies and Shock Suspense are just incredible books.
  15. I've been waiting at my computer, constantly refreshing this page until that opportunity came. I lost my job and girlfriend but it was allllll worth it.
