  12. @CGC Mike Can I throw this into mix? Was a 1 book modern sub that was received on 10/3 and hasn't moved past 'scheduled for grading'. I've contacted customer service twice since my initial contact and have heard crickets. Now at 41 business days I think... Know ya'll are busy and had the move and whatnot--but I'm getting a little nervous about this, considering it's more than 2x the listed turnaround time.
  13. Yeah, I'd say pass. Tbh most scammers don't target high-dollar books like that, but it is probably not worth the risk. If you need the money, though, you could try messaging them and just be honest and see how they respond (or if they respond).
  14. -CCS in Process on 11/21 (5 business days--fast track quotes 7 so we'll see if the books actually get to SFG next Monday)
  15. Low print run of only 600,000 I hear
  16. 32 business days for this and still in SFG--already contacted them once and they said it should be moving shortly (a week and a half ago). At what point should I contact them again? I know times are slow right now, but sheesh 32 days for one book and zero movement?
  17. 6-book modern fast-track and press: - Picked up on 11/14 - Received by CCS on 11/15 (!!!)
  18. Been at SFG for a single book modern slow boat shipment that was received on 10/3 🤦🏻‍♂️. NYCC killing me…
  19. No personal experience for me here, as I haven’t come across a book I’ve thought had even a remote chance at 9.9 (and I deal primarily with high-grade late bronze/copper stuff), but I’ve often thought about what I would do if I did. I think best thing might be just to sub it solo. Maybe it won’t make a difference, but mayyyybe they just spend that extra few seconds to take a closer look. I don’t know if subbing high value will make a difference, since I’m not sure the graders are different for different tiers (and may not even pay attention to what tier it is). I always sub modern even when I have a 9.8 candidate, and whenever I’ve been bumped up—which rarely ever happens—it has occurred before grading. Hope this helps, and good luck! Getting a 9.9 back would be sweet indeed. Super curious to know what book it is, but totally understand if you wanna keep that to yourself.
  20. One final reduction that I'll run through the end of the upcoming weekend: $4,000 shipped--that's $1k lower than last sale and $800 less than FMV.
