  1. Look what's coming up in the next Signature. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/seven-seas-comics-4-universal-phoenix-feature-1947-cgc-vf-85-off-white-pages/p/7158-1007.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
  2. For the longest time my 5.5 was the highest graded- then poof.
  3. Just sold. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/romance/pictorial-romances-19-st-john-1953-cgc-vf-75-off-white-to-white-pages/a/7141-94659.s?ic2=mybidspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyBids-101116
  4. Ppl think this surge in pricing is recent but I remember 08 or thereabouts when the guy selling Bakers on ebay was Superninjamaster. He was getting really nice prices. He had a TaR 9 in about fine. There was a lot of bidding. That's when I first contacted Joanna on line, as she was a main competitor. The only real surge is highest graded, slabbed, auction house wins. Those are recent. Although there were high prices even then. Comicconnect sold some nice copies.
  5. bakerfan also told me he hasn't been on these boards for years. I'll email this thread to him, so perhaps he'll visit and give us an update on the Flamingo book. I'll certainly buy a copy! Interesting. Thanks for following up with him. I assumed he was selling off his own collection because he didn't seem to be a dealer. Imo, he undergrades a bit, perhaps to cut down on returns. I don't remember him listing high-grade copies, although I may be forgetting or perhaps I missed them. Of course, on many Bakers, even a copy in the Fine range is pretty high grade. I've gotten a few books from him, all upgrades as it's hard to find holes for me to fill, although they do exist. Always looking forward to his next offering.
  6. Thanks Andy. I also used my under-copy to help pay for this. I've had it for over a decade, so I don't have as much into this as you would think. I think this will eventually get classic cover status. The girl is amazing and the dialogue is oozing with sexual implications. And it's a bear to find in any grade. Which book? Uuhmm...this one.

  8. Nice - that one is high on my want list (then again, aren't they all ) Baker mega-babe.
  9. I'm reviving this thread with a recent purchase from a boardie.
  10. Ron, it's quite a halloween treat to see some of your New Brunswick's laid out in a run. Fantastic! I this Strange Tales 53 almost as much as the big books. The coloring just blows my mind. Thanks Andy. I should have said all the Atlas' are from the NB collection EXCEPT Strange Tales 53, which I bought from Harley and he thinks is a Circle 8 copy. There were no code books in the New Brunswick collection. I always loved this cover. Nice mood by Everett with, as you said, great colouring.
  11. All the Atlas books I just posted were courtesy of the New Brunswick collection.
