Here's the recent 9.0. Happy about the grade, although I sure wish that shadow along the edge wasn't there. But can't get too picky about such a tough book. Gorgeous. Was that the former 7.0? There's a story there.

I don't mean to push it, but there also seems to be a slight subscription "bend", around her collarbone and neck. Quite improvable. I've just seen some of my books hammered by cgc of late, so I err on the side of caution. Gloss and eye appeal don't enter into their grading. It's a nice looking copy, so it got the bids. On the upside, if that's a 5.0/6.0, my copy is now vf.

Do you genuinely believe that book has increased in value 4X since 2013? Sounded to me like a prediction of the next three years, not a statement of the previous three years. The latter doesn't necessarily follow the former. Hmmm So the last GPA on a CGC 6.0 CL 25 was $2188 almost 3 years ago to the day... and last night some lucky soul won a book of comparable grade (although raw for approx. $2100) ... so I guess we'll just have to wait and see when the next graded book comes to auction.... That book last night was a raw vg. It had a lot of edge chipping.

I don't have the gumption I once did, as a younger man. It was a very good effort I knew that book was going to explode It's cool. I hit the BIN on a copy of New Mutants 87 earlier in the night, which is pretty much on par with the Cinderella Love. New Mutants 87. I'm thinking of trading my CL25 for one of those. Now, don't be cruel. I know that I'd be pretty upset if I got my hopes up about something like that... only to find out you weren't serious. You're right. A forgot a caveat.

True about PR 16. Almost makes me wonder if there might have been a warehouse find. Interesting. On a related note does anyone have a top 5 list of most common to find Baker romance books - even if they are not exactly falling off of trees That's a tough question to answer. I wouldn't say any of them are truly common. I can only speak in general terms of how many copies of a book, relative to other individual issues, I personally have seen over an extended period of years. Aside from the books already mentioned, I've heard a rumor about an old warehouse find of copies of True Love Pictorial 3. I can't say that I've seen a whole lot of them over the years, but it might help explain why there's a freakish 9.6 copy in the CGC census. When i first started looking for copies on ebay, I noticed a number of Teen-age Romances #1. That has changed and I haven't seen one in ages.

This is such a great cover and very tough to find. How lucky you are to have found a copy! I am, indeed, a lucky man John.

Sounds good. I said awhile back that any Baker romance in decent condition can expect a minimum of $500.00.

And, of course, Osrin was a favorite inker of Baker's work. Together they did "It Rhymes With Lust". Osrin was amazing. His friendship with Baker is a touching story.

I found my copy on Advence Book Exchange a number of years ago. I think I paid $10.00.

I remember. Everybody thought I'd overpaid on that CL26. But when it comes to quality Baker, you can never overpay. The market catches up fast. Congrats on your 6.0!
