  1. That might've been to our advantage... had there been a shred of doubt as to who is going to end up winning it. Will that guy never stop! Thank the Lord I already have 12 copies of this one. Oh wow, could you post all 12 for us? Please?
  2. It's in the next CLink auction. No mention by CGC or the auction house of Baker's contribution. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fauctions%2Fpreview%2Easp%3Fcode%3D2016may%23Item_1114749&id=1114749
  3. I know that WR 17 was discussed for this list but too many copies showed up...anyone want to weigh in on the current TOP TEN hardest-to-find Baker Romances? We need Teen-age Romances 9 in this list.
  4. Diary Secrets nn. Easily. Is this the one you mean? I think it's a one shot. That's the one.
  5. The new slab looks good. One small complaint, I actually prefer having the pedigree notation to the right as I almost missed the notation on this label [too small]. One thing that isn't hard to miss is the grade It's like Jerry Jones designed it I don't like the grade box. Too big, Too much white space. Doesn't look integrated into the label, looks pasted on.
  6. Thanks. As I suspected the seller does not ship to Canada, so it doesn't show on my search. Lose out on a lot of great books that way.
  7. Also - there's a CL 26 1.8 on Ebay - $85 with 3 days to go. Now that's one to watch closely. It'll almost certainly break $100 and if it breaks $150.... Hey Andy, would you please send a link to the CL 26. I can"t seem to find it..
  8. True Love Pictorial #6 (CGC 6.5). You mean this copy that just sold on the CLink?
  9. Harley has treated me great over the years, and he has even held some expensive Larson books for me. Recently he has been turning books over more quickly to known buyers - really helps with his cash flow I presume. At WonderCon last weekend, he had an incredibly quick turnaround (just a few minutes!) on a Baker book he had just purchased at the show. Do you know the book?
  10. Harley got this book from a collector he sold to many years ago. He was selling his collection back to Harley. This guy is in my city of Toronto. Harley wanted to sell right away, so I got a call. But I wasn't the first person he called. The first guy already had a copy. I'm like, there are 2 copies of this book in my city? Who's the other guy? Harley would never tell.
  11. I never see any Baker OA up for sale online. It's a tight market. Of course I'm in Canada, so I don't get to the shows where it's more likely to show. The GCE 12 came from Harley. Time payments, although I've paid it off. Ouch.
  12. I don't have them all. There are still have a few that escape me. And they don't come up. And now there are more buyers waiting in the wings to beat me out. I did get this though.
  13. Hey Joanna, great hearing from you. Come back more often.
  14. Those Going Steady's can be tough to find.
  15. Shhh! Don't let her think too much about the dough I spend. Does she know? Does she like the Junior 9? Have you explained the Church provenance?
  16. I guess I'll be thankful for mine. And yes, Dana and Matt made an unbeatable team. Your copy looks strangely familiar... I got it on ebay. Maybe from you. Can't remember. Everything hazy.

  18. $1006.00. I dare say I was the underbidder.
  19. Wow, someone finally graded a copy. I was kind of hoping it would stay ungraded, adding to it's mystique.
