  1. I'd like to know where the cover art to In the Court of the Crimson King is? The original open mouth screaming face cover. The artist, Barry Godber, died after he handed in the art. He was 24. I just found out the answer to my own question. Robert Fripp owns the artwork.
  2. Up for sale is the comic that featured the inspiration to Lichenstein's most famous painting- Drowning Girl. It's the splash to Run for Love by Tony Abruzzo. Published in Nov.1962. Cover by Jazzy John Romita. Lichenstein created Drowning Girl in 1963. DC romance is notorious to find in grade. This copy is beautiful. I'd give it 7.0/7.5. Very tiny tear top edge of back cover. Last reported sale is a 4.0 in July for $625.00. I am asking $1350.00 $1250.00 shipped for this beauty.
  3. I know the consignor. I was offered it first.
  4. Wow Jim, I forgot I sold you my under copy. Next time you're in the city let's go for coffee. Here's my 6.5.
  5. Love how Winston is still smoking his ever present stogey, even while tied up by Nazis.
  6. Seems like he's drilling for money, ouch. Not accepting as many patients.
  7. BTW this was a strong result from last weekend's auction. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/adventure/zago-4-fox-features-syndicate-1949-cgc-fn-65-off-white-pages/a/122339-17418.s?type=bidnotice-dailystatus
  8. I might have been the first to point out her diary explains she is with child and the boy friend is furious. Even Sqeegs didn't notice, he was busy looking at the grade number. The photo of the bf with a seeming mocking laugh is the final touch. A masterpiece.
  9. My copy is the first one shown. I was an underbidder. Next year the winner was selling it on ebay for what he paid. I offered him a lowball which he grudgingly took.
  10. I got my PL 17, cgc 4.5, for $2400.00 in 2009. Comics were depressed along with everything else. I got it on a lowball offer.
  11. After this auction, I'm going to have to get my copy slabbed. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/horror/strange-mysteries-13-superior-comics-1953-cgc-vf-75-off-white-pages/a/7341-94284.s?type=bidnotice-dailystatus
