  1. I'm going to hell for this... Don't you wish he had hung around longer?
  2. Thinking about this, some of my dislike for ROTJ could be because of BladeRunner. Changed my horizon for science fiction and possibly after seeing that movie the Star Wars universe just didn't seem as interesting anymore. But man, those first two movies hit at just the right time in my childhood. Great memories all around. Never will forget walking into the den Christmas 1977 and seeing all the Star Wars figures fanned out on the floor. The image is still vividly seared in my mind.
  3. Confession time: I always liked David Lynch's Dune movie and still rewatch it to this day so maybe I am deeply flawed.
  4. Even as a thirteen year old kid who had spent the better part of his childhood firmly as a Star Wars fanatic, I knew ROTJ was distinctly worse than the first two movies. I'll give you Rogue One as my identical twin brother hates that movie even though I love it. Weird right?
  5. I'd just like to point out that as fulfilling as it might be to hate on the current crop of Star Wars movies, there really hasn't been a decent entry since Empire in 1980 (Rogue One excluded).
  6. I like my media a-la-carte. Give me the option of buying single episodes or an entire season. Until then this will be a pass for me.
  7. Posting this again as it has been a while. Put this together with a piece of software normally used to visualize code commits during the development process. Data was sourced from The Grand Comics Database and shows Frazetta's publication history over time by publisher, title, and issue
  8. Issue has been scanned online here... https://monstermagazineworld.blogspot.com/2016/04/chilling-tales-of-horror-no-1-part-1.html?zx=6353c5c9ec81830c
  9. That's an awesome Rob Liefeld original. You should frame it.
  10. My brother and I discovered Doctor Who / Peter Davison around 1982. Stil my favorite episodes and boy-oh-boy did I appreciate Tegan Jovanka at that point in my young teenage life.
  11. Looks like a classic cover featuring a pair of beaver trappers.
  12. ditto. Plus I accidentally bought the 4k version off Amazon instead of renting so I have every reason to try and find some enjoyment in it.
  13. Yep, I had an initial abbreviated experience with the series as I had bailed after episode two. At the insistence of a friend I finally gave the series a second shot.
  14. I'm also a fan of Undiscovered Country which puts me decidedly at odds with several of my friends whom I usually find myself in close agreement on these matters.
  15. The poor critics score on RT actually gives me hope the movie might be OK.
  16. You are eight feet tall, live on Endor, and are currently conjugating the emancipation proclamation?
  17. Agreed. IMO it was the best Star Wars movie since Empire Strikes Back. Oddly my identical twin brother hates it but instead enjoys that terrible Han Solo movie. He also proclaims the Hobbit movies superior to LOTR which floors me. Being identical twins you'd think our opinions would be a bit less opposed.
  18. There are only two actors IMO which can make a movie solely worthwhile based on their participation... Daniel Day Lewis and Joaquin Phoenix
  19. Found this used as an advertisement in a 1995 issue of Scream Queens Illustrated. Looks like Mystery Comics #3 Oct 1944 on the bottom of the rack. Red Band Comics #3 April 1945
