  1. I remember watching that episode with my parents when I was in high-school back in 1986. My dad got up and said something to the effect, "well we are never watching that show again". Our Friday ritual for the last 7 years was done.
  2. I enjoyed last night's episode but that was due in no small measure to having my expectations completely crushed by episodes 8.3 and 8.4 At this point I've given up on story and I'm just in it for the spectacle and last nights episode delivered that at least.
  3. Inflationary perspective... https://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/adjusted.htm
  4. I take it all back, I'm still perfect...
  5. Arghh, I misspelled it as well earlier.
  6. I hope you are right. I enjoy this version of spider man much more than any other I have seen in the last two decades. A very relatable character.
  7. I'll take a guy in a tin suit with a drinking problem any day over super-man.
  8. Not sure on that. If I was mister bidness-man at Disney I wouldn't want my lynchpin hero to be a property I didn't have full distribution rights to. I agree though, as a fan it is irrelevant.
  9. That seems like a difficult proposition being that only Sony can release stand-alone SpiderMan films?
  10. Varys and Tyrions discussion was the highlight of this episode for me. Everything else felt rushed and too engineered by the writers. Less of the writers telling a story and more of a sequence of engineered events to quickly arrive at a conclusion. Looks like next episode we will have two mad queens to deal with.
  11. As bored as I am with comic movies, I am inversely excited about this movies performance. Please Disney keep my comic book collection increasing in price for another 15 years until I am ready to retire and unload the lot.
  12. CGI looks creepy. Trying to make something look too human and falling into the "Uncanny valley" Can't say I care though as who in the world really wants to see a Sonic movie???
  13. I was a bit apprehensive when I read this as I am not keen to see much beyond the first book turned into a movie , however this is intriguing...
  14. It was a grail of mine for years but time has moved on and so have my interests.
  15. The really awesome thing here which is easy to overlook, is that the development of comic-book properties as cinema has reached the point that we get to choose between multiple versions of Hellboy. Far cry from my youth where my choices were Superman and that was about it.
  16. Watched the trailer the other night and it seemed way too dark for my tastes. Doubt this will even get an Amazon viewing from me. Im completely happy with the Ron Perlman versions.
  17. Just throwing this into the thread as I don't have anywhere else to put it.
