  1. I saw that you picked up the TOS #1 7.5 from Heritage + wondered if you had bid on the TTA as well. Well wonder no further! Would have liked to bid on both, but glad the TOS went to a fellow boardie. (thumbs u Back at you. That TTA #1 you got is prime stuff. I actually only initially bought the TOS #1 as a back-up as I was going for Cheetah's 9.0 TOS #1 in the CLINK auction. I'm glad I got that book from HA though as Cheetah's book got out of my price range quickly. I had a choice to sell off my TOS #1 I had just won along with my lifelong collection of high grade HOT STUFF's and win it or be happy as is... easy choice in the end as Hot Stuff rules... Man there's been a lot of HG pre-hero's coming out of the woodwork lately.
  2. Nice Korvac. I was an underbidder on that book during the live part of the auction. But it wasn't a total loss, I did end up snagging it's counter-part - the TOS #1 7.5
  3. For being across the pond, shipping was lightning quick and safely packed. Thanks for the great book.
  4. I've been working on this for the past 4 1/2 years. It's still a work in progress, but I hope to someday finish it and display it in the Louvre or the Met... least that's a little dream of mine...
  5. Makes sense to me now. I didn't even think about Stan being the Ed in chief.. Sure looks great in your sig line...
  6. Sorry, but that's a weak 9.8... geez what a gift grade... .. inside
  7. I like that TOS #1 and great move on getting it on the first page... but why have Stan Lee sign it? He did no work on the book (or did he?). Always curious when I see creators signatures on works they didn't create. Surely you have a thousand Stan Lee books he could have signed... again just curious as why that book...
  8. I had it raw for a long time and the colors were fantastic. Do you collect HG Spellbound comics or were you just grabbing a Pedigree.
  9. My old book... congrats... it's a beauty...
  10. That was my WM JIM #20.... it's a killer copy - nice haul of books indeed HTO...
  11. 'Riding the Alligator' by Pen Densham and 'A complete guide to faeries & magical beings' by Casandra Eason
  12. There's like 2 million pre-hero's and SA horror books in the next Clink auction... a few are mine - Two Jim's #20 and #65, but man if I didn't blow my load in the last Heritage I'd be scrambling right now...
  13. You'd know all about someone being 'out of pocket' wouldn't you there bud...
  14. On low to mid-grade... fine. But It irks my innards when people SS a high grade silver age book. There's so many things for people to sign, why have them sign a HG comic cover? It seems it's all about the 'flip' and making a buck in the higher grade cases.
  15. That's not Doug's copy. The 9.6 copy that is in the May CLINK auction is a freshly graded 9.6. It was once a 9.4 and got resubbed and bumped up a grade. That information is not completely correct. It is not Doug's copy though. Do tell?
  16. I used to be a Loki freak (still am) and last year I sold about 60 JIM #85's (from 2.0-9.0) and bought Doug's old copy. The Canadian White JIM #85 9.4. It's never been pressed, perfectly centered and has white pages... I should do the press and resub game myself, but I'm not going to as my copy superior to either of those 9.6's as is...IMHO.... We'll see where that 9.2 that's being resubbed lands. It was probably the copy that was recently bought in the last CLINK auction. Good luck on your submission.

  18. My favorite game by far when I was a kid The coolest toys ever. Transformers who?
  19. All this Gobbledygook talk is hogwash and tiddlywinks
