  1. One of the Church Hits is graded 7.5. Shoulda been a 6.5
  2. I have no idea. That catalog mentioned that this was the first of several to feature his collection, IIRC. But it would make more sense the way Flex's quote was worded that it would be another collection. It will be interesting to see how much the market can absorb if it's another equally impressive listing.
  3. what ever floats your boat man. no judgement. (just make sure you have a safe word ok?) My safe word is "more"
  4. Thanks all! It was a very nice deal to complete. The 2 Wings have the best colors I've ever seen
  5. Eric Sack's underground art collection. It certainly would qualify.
  6. I should be down your way soon fo lacrosse, I'll hit you up before hand.
  7. Dang, the wife has me tied up in the evening, but I have the day off.
  8. Yikes! Deals don't get much nicer than this!!! What'd the other guy get? Nice hardwood floor BTW. It's a cheap laminate. I need to do something about that, but that room has nothing but my nerd stuff
  9. I too am a BSD and would like to express my interest or lack thereof in bidding or possibly not bidding on these books. I'd also like to state that they are exceptional, but possibly not exceptional, because I personally have not vetted them except in the degree that I have. Therefore, I choose to reserve my bidding for the time when it may be appropriate, yet I may not bid. But I hope that doesn't influence anyone from bidding. Or not bidding. Which I myself may or may not do. Depending on circumstances and my personal dictums regarding viewing of these books. When are you coming down to Boulder to visit the Distillery Will you be there Friday?
  10. I don't care for cigars, but I did crack out the Elmer T. Lee for this one. Yes I'm spamming.

  12. huh interestimg I wonder if it is comic or comic art. They are putting up some amazing GA and SA artwork right now. Yeah, could this be the Sack collection?
  13. I've wondered if we might have been seeing some of Bruce Hamilton's books lately..... but I confess I have no basis for that... GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) The Peps weren't Hamilton's, and I suspect these are from the same source.
  14. PM me your email address, I have the Larson list & already have the Allentown list as a .xls
  15. They'll go insane. I've already resigned myself to not getting one
  16. There were several Fox books in that auction that went for really impressive numbers.
  17. HOLY S(&@!!!! This is awesome! And this is coming from someone who would just be happy with the LB Cole covers. I'm still working on that run (need a 5 & 11) but I'd love the early ones. I doubt I'll ever snag a #3, but this gives me some hope. Congrats!!! I still crack up about hiding that copy of #4 (I think?) from a customer in San Diego who wouldn't stop asking about it.
  18. PreHero has pointed out in the past that most GA pedigrees of that era had Centaurs, including Church (CO), Larson (NE), Cosmic Aeroplane (UT), and Reilly (CA), so the myth of poor distribution doesn't stand up.
  19. 7.0 is great on that book. I had a gorgeous 9.0 way back when, somewhat tanned, but otherwise nearly perfect. That's one I wish I had back.
