  1. A guy in NC had a copy a few years back that was a 9.6, but CGC said 8.5 due to LT/OW pages that we had a consensus on as OW/W
  2. There's also a Werner Roth story in that one that I think is fantastic for him.
  3. The interior on that one is great as well. If you haven't read "Atrocity Story"... well, get to reading!
  4. I've gone through my Atlas war from time to time trying to speculate on which books he may have contributed to from a color perspective. The problem is that -- as a rule -- Atlas war had really nice coloring on the covers in that '53-'55 time frame.
  5. I have to agree on War 23. And as adamstrange pointed out, the attention to detail with the coloring really makes it stand out.
  6. Hey, that's my old copy. Give it back!
  7. Way to go, Bob! Here's its former partner... Here's it's 5th cousin, three times removed. My friend's uncle actually did that on a motorcycle.
  8. I would be interested in fine copy all day long for the issues I need. If you have any Kid Colts pre #84 keep me in mind! If you have any lower grade copies. I was really shocked I won the #49 for 23 bucks. Just figured it would have sold for more then that. If I didn't already have 2 copies I would have bid higher
  9. This one is about as intense as DC covers got!
  10. What were his prices like? Not unreasonable. Gave nice discounts. If you're not seeking slabbed top-census books, it was a perfect find.
  11. Anyone notice Bob Storms just listed a 9.8 HOM 174?
  12. The photos don't do them justice. It's really fascinating work.
  13. That's what I thought. Davis, then scratched my head about Krigstein. But... nope.
  14. OK, Atlas geeks. Time to prove your worthiness! These two stories were drawn by the same artist, can you name him? (no cheating Scrooge!)
  15. I paid $200 for a file copy about 5 years ago... then sold it Had two and sold one....glad I kept one though. Even though I love the book, I don't think I could bring myself to come anywhere close to current prices. Definitely. I'd like one at $200, not at $1500.
  16. Lovely copy. I never noticed that's a Jack Davis cover before.
