  1. Thanks for the update! Makes perfect sense that the expansion may have bankrupted Cook. This type of financial uncertainty makes it easy to understand why "shops" like the Eisner/Iger collaboration were appealing to artists.
  2. Eh...what? Sorry, I was momentarily stunned by the beautiful books and I didn't catch that about the scans. I remember when the Honeymoon went on CC. I was in on that bidding, but there can be only One! Which apparently was you! And I kinda remember the Confessions 1 - was that sold here on the Boards by Flex for a friend? Or am I thinking of another digest? You've got a memory like a steel trap!
  3. At one point I had 2 TADS 7s and a 9. Took me forever to find a 7, but since I've seen more 9s than 7s. That Honeymoon Romance 2 is only the 2nd copy I can recall seeing. #1 is rare, but not as rare as 2. Confessions of Love 1 may be as rare as Honeymoon Romance 2. That's one that I can't recall seeing more than 1 or 2 of. Sorry for the terrible scans.
  4. Very good. @ 3X OSPG........ GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u AND it's snowing AGAIN! 81 & sunny here. May have to go hiking again.
  5. Is APC 18 rare? I think I have one sitting in a "I don't know what do do with these books" pile.
  6. Teenage Diary Secrets 7 & 9 each most likely have fewer than 10 copies.
  7. It isn't anywhere near what it was 2-3 years ago, but I wouldn't say the bottom has fallen out.
  8. Gene - you're going pretty deep! Mike (original poster) specifically stated he's using data points. You bring up some excellent points - drop in value for recirculated pieces, the very fluid nature of the market, etc. Certainly you illustrate nicely the need to constantly keep this list updated, and to "take it with a grain of salt." With that being said, I still don't get the high end here. Hari, I see where you argue artificial supply constraints of Romita Sr pages affects the price. I certainly can't argue that. Still, the fact is if you want a Romita Sr 2x page you're going to pay 40k+. Mike had it right the first time. And I'll reiterate a question Burkey brought up a few threads back - how many Kirby FF panel pages are going for 40k+? CAF market data search reveals none. The August Doom-Thing page on Comiclink went below 30K; not sure about the December one. Yes, Colletta inks, but is 40K plus really the standard? The one in the last HA auction went well over $50K. Although I'd rate that one A+.
  9. And BTW, thanks for putting this together. It's really very helpful.
  10. Thank for the feedback however I know of at least a handful of sales (public and private) of A-level Kubert B&B Hawkman pages in the $5-10k range. Sounds good to me, I thought the price on my page was very reasonable. Do you know of any war pages going in this range?
  11. I'd recommend dropping Kubert war/Hawkman one notch also. I just bought a 2X splash in that range, and the best war panel page I can recall seeing went for less than $5k on Clink.
  12. The only possible "A" pages I've seen within the past two years went for $18K & change and the other was asking $17.5K, not sure what it went for. There were a couple of pages on Heritage that were B-C which didn't break $10K, and another on Hakes that was under $12K that was B-B+. A couple of those went to Burkey and one traded for $12.5. I think most A pages would fall into the $15-20K range at auction.
  13. I'm not a big action 15 fan, but this being OA cover makes it very appealing. If there really are no earlier OA pieces of Supe in existence, then this would conceivably be THE holy grail of existing supe OA. The cover for Superman 14 exists. That would trump this IMO.
  14. I think you mean '03. Nope, OSU beat Miami in that game, double overtime. was that the "pass interference" game? Yup!!! I remember watching that game and thinking "wow". So did the NASO which called it one of the best 18 calls of all time.
  15. Am I the only one who was surprised by how low the winning bid was on this? What was the winning bid? Does anyone know how much that cover reproduction by Heath went for? Winning bid with vig was $11,950. The repro of AAMOW 110 went for $2031.50.
  16. I'd like to know more about this Mrs Ryan. There were several books in that auction with her name on them.
  17. Am I the only one who was surprised by how low the winning bid was on this?
  18. Better than a pile of Tom you got from Jim!
  19. That is probably my favorite Atlas set Bill. Congrats!!! Wonderful books for reading and just charming art to boot. (thumbs u A great gift to yourself!Could you show a few interiors as you read, with sugar on top? Yes please, I would love to see the art and such. Even low grade they are not cheap. I thought of getting the masterworks ed. I love medieval tales. What are you waiting for? The Masterworks are great for Atlas stuff.
  20. I like the Ditko sig on the fuel can on the back of the Jeep. Ditko!
