  1. I've got to say, 13 really stands out to me -- aside from the early Everetts.
  2. Just send that one to me and I'll let you know what I grade it...
  3. Wow on the TTA 24! I have an 8.0 if anyone wants it PM me.
  4. Boy howdy. What a great lot of books. (worship) (worship) (worship) (worship) (worship) Amazing stuff Scrooge!
  5. Yeah I hate it when they look structurally great and then they're basically dust...I certified a number of those type of books and they came out 9.0/9.2 and a few 9.4 but they looked a lot better. Long since sold. I cried with Joey. Little smoky smell on some of them as well. Yet most of the certified ones were W or OW/W.
  6. Billy sure loves the runs... Interesting observation, buttock. No me gusta el diarrea
  7. You need better friends, that dude is shady.
  8. Really like this one You and I share a fondness for Heath Thanks for all the kind comments, certainly not easy tracking down Atlas books in this market!
  9. Nah. What I believe is happening to you is that you are discovering Russ Heath Atlas goodness He did it in the Western genre as well but that shouldn't be enough to convince you to start buying Westerns. Unfortunate fold on this one and now that I have it, I am starting to wonder if I just didn't buy a duplicate  This is issue # 3 - The OA for that cover still exists, although it's mostly photostat. Just got back from a post-Heroes NC vacation with the family, Atlas pickins were very slim. The Men's Adventures came from Dale & the Battlefront from Harley. I also grabbed a dupe of Battleground 13 from Ted.
  10. Love em all. I still need that Men in Action 9. Scrooge, congrats on the Battlefront!
  11. And I'm happy for you That book has been on my want list for awhile now, but with a 5.0 selling for 10k this year I don't think I'll be able to cross it off anytime soon. I hope that was just an anomaly and the price comes back down a bit. Yup. It's a book I've given up on owning. Crazy prices on that one.
  12. I thought about buying this book many times. I love it! It reminds me of Basil Wolverton. Do you mean this exact book? Has the Mile High copy been offered for sale before? Or do you mean Marvel Tales 95 generally? Also, has anyone ever seen any other Mile High Marvel Tales offered for sale over the years? Johnny This copy has been on the Metro/ComicConnect site for quite a while. Gotcha. Do you recall seeing any other Mile High copies on Metro/Comiconnect? Not that I can remember. Zzutak was commenting on the original MH listings of Atlas books in another thread recently. Nonetheless... it's a dang sweet book!

  14. [font:Times New Roman]It looks like Bristol board or some equivalent, which is actually multi-ply paper available in different surfaces often used by illustrators. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_board[/font] Semantics aside, some GA art (e.g. Fawcett) was done on thick art boards, while others (e.g. FH) was done on bristol "board" which is more like paper. I've never seen Timely art in person, thus the question.
