  1. It can probably be found cheaper, but I don't know how much, and by the time you pay to ship it back it may be a wash.
  2. I finally was able to pick up a copy of this book. These Speeds are really elusive and the covers are great. I'd say this issue compares favorably to Amazing Man 22.
  3. It's even nicer in person... So is my Headline 8. That's gotta hurt! But then again buttock did start it... Trade ya straight up? I did upgrade my Headline 8, but it still looks nothing like yours
  4. We had a show last weekend down here and a guy had a new OO collection. The only DCs in there were war books, mostly low grade, but I filled a few holes. I was also able to upgrade a few GICs in the 120s, and I'll be selling my undercopies soon (also a few extra washtones). However, I'm really excited about these 3 books that I managed to get raw & in grade. I usually count on getting a realistic (i.e. not Heritage 10X guide) shot at one nice GIC a year, so to get these 3 over a month was exhilarating. I have a hard time selecting a favorite cover from 79, 80, 86, 91, 96, & 104, but seeing a sharp 96 in hand sure makes it hard not to like.
  5. Yup. Time for the kiddies to go to bed.
  6. I bid something like $650 thinking it would maybe go for $100 over that. Yeesh.
  7. Weak I had a high end trade with him that went smooth but that was 6 months ago. He bought a book from me for almost $600 on time payments. I gave him 2 months with some pre-specified terms. He didn't make the up-front payment and said he was focusing all his efforts on raising the funds. In the meantime he continued to buy from other board members. I finally got fed up and gave him an ultimatum and he paid - about 2 months out. Then I offered some other books and he said he wanted them and didn't pay. I reminded him a month or two later (not really expecting him to pay), but he said he "forgot" and still wanted them. Then he "forgot" again and never paid. Although he paid on the first book, it was more hassle than it was worth. And there's clearly a repeated pattern of behavior.
  8. I had problems with joker-fish in the past. Don't hold your breath.
  9. So the GIC 91 CGC 8.0 OW closed at over $1300 with the vig on the Heritage auction. Bloody insane. If anyone wants to pay me that kind of dough for my nice washtones, please PM.
  10. Briefer's Frankenstein is one of the undiscovered gems of the GA. If I had extra $$ lying around I'd try to get the whole run. Really a top notch strip.
  11. WOW. That OAAW is incredible, adam.
  12. That is an impressive 78. That top edge looks minty fresh. If you have an 80 in that lot, I'm definitely interested.
  13. See, you sell someone a comic that they have always wanted, and this is the thanks you get! richard, sell buttock your great #3, so I don't have too someone has to reward that fine individual...I have no idea what Ryan gave up, but I am happy for all! and, I am getting closer to ryan being available for my commission! gator Rick, You can ask a lot of things of a person, but giving up his Great #3 is tough! Ouch! Buttock, if you can bring about world peace then maybe we can talk. If I did that, where would we get all our good war movies?
  14. Your sincerity showed and it paid off.
  15. Nice books Shep. Those seem to be inordinantly tough in grade.
  16. It's all a part of the Circle of Life. And Tarzan is on the top of the food chain
  17. If anyone is looking for a decent Action 108, I put one up in the marketplace .
