  1. Joe Maneely died in June 1958, Kirby returned to Marvel in late 1956.
  2. I was told November is a target date. Things could still change, but the holder has been designed.
  3. In addition to being quite possibly the greatest comic book cover ever, the colors on this one are pretty amazing.
  4. I agree with PCH in many cases. This was maybe the most unbelievable sale in the last HA auction to me. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/horror/tales-of-horror-8-toby-publishing-1953-cgc-fn-55-white-pages/a/7340-92131.s?ic4=ListView-Thumbnail-071515
  5. Looks like a lovely collection, spines look pretty toasty though. I'll be curious to see what the PQ is on a lot of the books and what the inner/back covers look like.
  6. I don't recall seeing Tuska's initials on any other covers.
  7. They likely would write it on all books as they came in. If you could keep track of where they came from by the time they hadn't sold there would be no reason to put a distributor code on anything. The code would mark both the distributor to return to, and the date to determine when to pull the book for a return.
  8. I'd guess a similar cushion there . Sadly the cabal has decided to mirror the economy.
  9. Seems like there's a 10-20% softening across the board. Obviously some things vary, but in general even GA is a little less perky than it had been. And realistically you have to expect that. Prices couldn't sustain at the growth they were.
  10. Deal. You're also in charge of customer complaints.
  11. I too, have started a restoration service with the same terms. Everyone feel free to send me books and money. I promise to send you plenty of emails letting you know that the work will be done soon.
  12. Well stated Tim. I absolutely love my collection, but I bought a book this weekend and it was so terrible that one of the comments was, "the best part is that now you never have to think about it again". But I was so excited to get it. As long as you like what you're buying, you can make a nice collection on a budget.
