Unironically, wow. That's an incredibly difficult book in that shape.
-
There's a preliminary cover for Navy Tales 1 out there also.
-
that's not what you said earlier.

Andy, is he collecting war comics or DC war comics?

Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???

You're making the mistake that comic collectors are reasonable and rational. But more seriously, that works well for books that have some availability. On Clink you see the crazy prices for books that come up once a decade or so. -

I focus on the book, not the auction house. It seems silly to punish myself because the auction house doesn't do things the way I prefer. -

I said nothing about where to buy or sell, not sure where you got that. -

Clink's method of bidding dissuades shilling to a degree. Without being able to see some real-time behavior at the end of the auction, you have to just throw out something and hope that it sticks. That's riskier than going up incrementally. -

I got 99 Promise, but a resale ain't one... -
As long as you rub me down in olive oil and scrape me clean after.

Clink will put their stickers on anything.

Where did you see this?

Does it really matter? I know the underlying rationale, but does it really matter? You're getting the published image. Would you rather have that or the original Miller pencils?
-
Congrats on finishing these. I set out to get these years ago and realized I wouldn't have the attention span for them so I gave up. The art is pretty great.

Heritage Auctions Preview 8/22-8/25 Chicago
buttock replied to midwestfourcolors's topic in Original Comic Art
Definitely a different style. Janson was more classic and Miller more stylized. You can tell the effect he was going for and why he would redo it. -
FedEx, UPS, and USPS are all functions of the employees. Regionally there are huge differences in performance. You should choose the one that works best for you at your location. HA just had a problem with packages being stolen from the USPS facility that delivers to them, so I would be wary of using USPS with them at the moment.

There are only 3 of these on the census, very tough book, and if you're trying to complete the 35 cent variant set, you may not get another chance for 10 years. This is a collector purchase, not an investor purchase. -
HBO Max's WARRIOR starring Andrew Koji (2020)
buttock replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
I'm about 9 episodes in to season 1 and finding the need to have a battle to the death in every episode a little tiresome. Does the series pick up? Worth continuing?
