  1. Have you read the books, Bosco? Matty Roth is not only the protagonist - he also serves as the narrator and Greek chorus. The series is fundamentally told through his eyes from his point of view. To develop the show without him seems just...insane. It's equivalent to someone developing say...Transmetropolitan without Spider Jerusalem.
  2. Yes - plus Children of a Lesser God and the Big Chill. RIP good sir.
  3. @Beige is dead-on. Just watched the trailer for this. Where the F----K is Matty? Not only not featured in the trailer(s); he's not listed on the IMDB cast credits either. How can they possibly have the audacity to adapt this without the literal main character? The whole first two story arcs are his adjustment to life in the DMZ as an outsider - including his encounters with Z. I'd be curious to see some interviews with Brian Wood to hear his thoughts...
  4. Huh. Weird that they didn't realize that when they dropped the 2022 combined superhero trailer just four weeks ago. Two of the four films now won't appear in 2022. Shades of Image Comics Month back in the day, when literally only one of the seven Image Zero books actually shipped during that month.
  5. Not rejoicing. Just predictable. You…you get that I’m a Flash fan, right? Grew up on Wally West & the ‘87 Flash run, and for a long time my copies of Showcase # 4 (first silver age Flash) & Flash 106 (first Grodd) were among the Crown Jewels of my collection (alas - both sold years ago). DC’s mismanagement of this character is just comical.
  6. Fun fact: Ezra Miller was announced as cast as the Flash for a solo film in October 2014.
  7. It's crazy that The Batman's domestic opening weekend was 44% better than the Justice League's - fully five years later to boot. $134.0 million vs. $93 million.
  8. ? Box Office Mojo cites $128.5 million for The Batman and $93.8 million for Justice League.
  9. It's crazy that The Batman's domestic opening weekend was 38% better than the Justice League's - fully five years later to boot. $128.5 million vs. $93 million.
  10. I liked the movie a lot but I'll never forgive them for changing the ending - in doing so the film missed the *entire* point of the book.
  11. Strong choice. I really liked him as Pollux Troy in Face/Off. Also - Ariana DeBose is perhaps the strongest Oscar contender for Best Supporting Actress this year. She might lose to Judi Dench, but I wouldn't bet on it. DeBose had arguably the strongest performance in a film full of them.
  12. Oh gross. Yeah - I guess that's it. Still, less of an eyesore than the usual Stan sig. I wouldn't have noticed it if not for the Custom Stan Lee label & notation that he signed a few months before McFarlane did. I actually would prefer my Hulk books with just McFarlane sigs, not Stan's.
  13. I have Hulk 330-334, 336-346 in CGC 9.8, with 6 of them signed by Todd. Here's one - the Stan sig's on the inside.
  14. Oh wow - that's Rebel Wilson at 1:45-1:52 -- a solid four years before Bridesmaids.
  15. You're not wrong, but Dan Ketch was actually in Ghost Rider: Spirits of Vengeance. Either way, Reedus is too old to play Ketch - at least the way he was portrayed in the 90s comic series.
  16. At least Green Lantern's had a movie. Did you know DC announced a DCEU Flash movie in October 2014? Fun fact: There have been 3 Avengers films and 2 Ant-Man films released since then. Ant-Man...
  17. WB: We've got a cool slate of movies planned! How about Justice League Part 2, New Gods, Green Lantern Corps, The Trench, Deathstroke, and Gotham City Sirens. WB: Sike! JK!
  18. 1974, hands-down. Although it's fun seeing the contemporary actors in the newer version.
  19. I really liked Murder on the Orient Express and am looking forward to this. But a B CinemaScore doesn't inspire confidence.
  20. Agree with this. That said, I'd be *all about* a Kraven's Last Hunt storyline with Crowe as the titular aging Russian - even better if they pulled a Batman Begins-style Ra's Al Ghul twist where we discover he's the true Kraven.
  21. I didn't see Space Jam 2, but I'd submit (surprisingly) that LeBron can act. He was easily the best part of the movie Trainwreck, with John Cena being a close second.
  22. I mean - the Razzies kind of already did - giving him his own category this year, in honor of the 8 (!) films he headlined last year.
  23. That's a really weird list. Also - first time in more than a decade that there's a full slate of 10 nominees.
