  1. Under the radar for myself, the front cover date stamp made me ignore the book
  2. Hulk 1 will benefit from this af15 Spike. Hulk 1 even at upward trending prices has good value
  3. That 8.5 went under the radar. I sure would have took a stab at if I had paid closer attention to it
  4. cool perspective from a person that collects both af15's and pre-robin tecs
  5. If i followed the naysayers for the last 10 years; i'd be looking from the outside in. The easiest argument is that too much supply(usually the golden age guys). But i am surprised of the 5.0 sales for $50k+. It was a $10k book less than 10 years ago
  6. Ever since i joined the boards, ive bought as many af15 as i could afford. Bought all types of grades, from 0.5-7.0. Upgraded along the way. It's worked out pretty well for me.
  7. I'm looking to add more af15 to my collection, hoping to show my updated inventory by september
  8. The reds and yellow are very deep and bright. The gray background is still gray. I know, my former copy
  9. How about the guy's that bought 4.0s or 4.5s two years ago, they might not need super strong numbers to sell their copy. They might just be ok with an average number
  10. The grader notes has the back cover with marvel chipoing and also pre-marvel chipping
  11. +1, it would be toasted if it was in my garage
  12. Your copy has deep bright colors and no mc. I should know since i sold it to you
  13. I'm in the cheerleader camp but i'm also sad that prices have bumped up so much that it be hard to get future copies. Might end up resorting to the 0.5-1.5 range. The days when 5.0s were less than $10k.......
  14. i know everyone's talked about the 8.0 but the 5.0($53k), 4.0 ss ($27K) all had super strong numbers
  15. I was gonna relive my glory high school days and snipe this graded golden axe at the last minute. Guess i was wrong, $1025. Coudn't even snipe it, my bid was too low http://m.ebay.com/itm/262998892270
  16. Might explain the reason why the current 8.0 is at a record price. Expendable cash/8.0 isn't made available readily
  17. Some of the books are not upgradeable. The 8.0 isn't upgradeable based on grader notes. The 8.0 buyer obviously thinks he won't be able to purchase another 8.0. Might just be an outlier sale. Only thing i can think is the 2009 analogy. There was a big upswing during that period and pullback afterwards.
  18. Drama not needed, i don't thread cra.. On other people's wtb or sales thread. Pretty simple. Dealt with enough well respected board members on here, like to keep it drama free
