  1. Cl uses ccs for it's pressing of cgc books. Doubt ccs would cause that effect
  2. I'm pretty sure it'll sell for more than $125k, but how much is where the mystery lies
  3. I agree but here's the breakdown, and yes the numbersare skewed based or resub 2692 total graded 45 universal graded in 8.0 above 240 universal graded in 6.0 above
  4. http://comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fauctions%2Fsearch.asp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3DAmazing%20fantasy%2015%26ItemType%3DCB%26CGC%3D%23Item_1178499&id=1178499#detail the 8.0 is coming up in a few weeks, any wild guesses what the hammer price will be?
  5. 8.0 and above is definitely the cutoff mark for limited supply
  6. I believe that pic was stolen, book and pic belongs to a boardie. Sold a few years ago when 5.0s were $10k. During that time period i asked a few well respected boardies if 5.0 could ever double from it's 10k mark. The answer back then was NO. The reason was that too much supply of af15
  7. If you had the option would you rather have an 8.0 and 7.5 or one 7.5 and two 7.0s?
  8. September is a good time to give a recap of the current market
  9. There's a 6.0 ss on ebay that can probably for $55k off ebay. Not sure if 5.0s are gonna hit $50k other than that cc copy
  10. If i had a raw book worth $100k. I would slab it to protect from any further handling. Also if i kick the bucket, it be easier for my family to move the book.
  11. This all came up with me asking about the 7.5. I've read previous auction listings for af15s on cc. Some of which brought up the topic of nice gray background. So not sure why no ones ever heard of such a topic. Also if someone's going to spend $90k+, a guy's opinion on some chat board is not going to affect it. When i go to buy a car, i study the car ahead of time. I'm not gonna let the car dealer infleunce my decision
  12. Easy enough, one should start to collect 7.5 and above, that way less concern about too many copies available.
  13. Hulk 1 cgc 7.5 $55k, maybe af15 madness has spread to the hulk http://comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch.asp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3DHulk%2B1%26GO2%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB&id=1174104
  14. For me, it would after cl may grand auction. You have from 3 different auction houses, grades in 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 6.5, 7.5, 8.0. All with no mc. The dealers during the summer months then can confirm if these prices are sustainable during the summer conventions
  15. This 'talking down the book' all started when i asked about the gray become yellowish 7.5. It was never my intention to 'talk the book down'. I found it very helpful to get pewees input on the matter. It appears he's the only other board member that cares about the gray background.
  16. The tec 31 closing tonight can be had for a lot less than $25k http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fauctions%2Fsearch.asp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3DDetective%2031%26ItemType%3DCB%26CGC%3D%23Item_1176260&id=1176260
  17. If i had the money, the difference in value vs 1/1 vs 1/3 would not be much. Getting a hold of one would be the only thing that mattered especially someone who that much money to spend
  18. The current ha 6.0 and 4.0 and upcoming cl may auction should stabilize the pricing structure
  19. Thanks, i got the same impression. But unfortunately bree at cgc confirmed the bad news. Rather have the notes then my $10 refund
  20. Waited more 24h. Waited 4 business days actually, nada was the end result
