  1. I like looking at the catalog. nice bright colors on comics. I usually only have 3 or so comics in anyone auction so its nice to have a full page scan on the books. its free so why not?
  2. Nice to see action252kid put up a raw copy of spirou 1071. He had slabbed copies of 1071 and 1072 in his last weeks auction https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spirou-1071-Scarce-1st-Ever-Appearance-of-The-Smurfs-French-Comic-1958-VG/362723550482?hash=item5474022512:g:zOkAAOSwqeVdUHqA
  3. It will be interesting to see how the census looks like when the population ever reaches 100. I have 8 raw copies that have not been graded, but they are all in the 3-6.0 range.
  4. Nice! What’s the highest 1071 grade that you are expecting?
  5. Heritage sends out their other collectible catalogs to comic bidders. I get a boat load of their other catalogs sent to me. Do they do the same for non comic bidders? Do non comic bidders get comic catalogs?
  6. I would consider heritage over CL or CC on a book like a Spirou 1071 cgc 9.6 (single highest graded 1st smurfs 1958). Would it get a higher hammer than comiclink? http://comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?back=%2Fsearch.asp%3Fwhere%3Dsell%26title%3Dspirou%2B%26GO2%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCB&id=1316539 Wider group of collectors (non comic book collectors) that heritage can draw from on a relevant pop culture item. A book that most people don't know about. This might be a book that falls in that 1% category
  7. I have a raw robbedoes 1071 and 1072 that I eventually will get graded
  8. So if you had 10 silver age keys mid grade (top 10 overstreet silver age keys), which of the 3 auction houses will get you the least net gross?
  9. If anything there’s bargains to be had on Heritage. I know because before comiclink and comicconnect charged sales tax (I’m in California); I would win on heritage at 10 percent(accounting for sales taxes) or less of my max bid compared to comiclink or comicconnect. A lot of times it was less than that 10 percent
  10. I get the same customer service over at comiclink. I talk to Josh and Douglas on a one on one basis. They value my opinion and concerns. We gameplan out how to maximize my return. Why? Because I've cosigned a bunch of high dollar books to them. So when it comes to silver age keys, I turn to comiclink.
  11. That conserved designation is basically like unrestored. Someone is gonna get a bargain
  12. Why negotiate with heritage when comicconnect and comiclink both only charge 10 percent? Will they go below 10 percent on silver age keys. I’ve received coupons for major keys but the net result is far from 10 percent
  13. Was looking at the top 50 silver age overstreet book. I could see spirou 1071 one day cracking the top 50. Similar to Scooby-Doo 1 over at the bronze section.
  14. There's a 9.8 that will be in the November HA auction. Does the current 9.8 consignor also own that November 9.8?
  15. there's a 9.8 going to auction in November at heritage
  16. some board members over the Golden age section were mentioning some funny business with the 9.8? Market manipulation? maybe get a couple friends to drive up the price? A bit costly if you ask me. Especially if heritage charges all those fees(buyer, seller premiums).
  17. different crowd? we can all get along? . I'm in the captain America crowd
  18. As a collector that's bought and sold TMNT 1 first print for the last 10 years, the Turtlemania craze has zero effect on me
  19. Over at the bargain bin, one can get a restored non trimmed cap 1 for 1/30th to 1/25th of the price. I wouldn’t mind having 25-30 restored non trimmed copies vs one 9.4
  20. Especially if the competitors only charge 10 percent.
