  1. my personal feeling is that some of the early actions went a little under what i would have thought. Call it auction fatigue, or seasonal dampening, or market softening, I saw the same thing with several high profile detectives last night Regrettably, the market was not softening and no buyer fatigue had set in on what I was bidding on. no doubt there was some polar opposite results. Some books seem to exceed expectations as well
  2. And did you buy either one? i wish. Have had basketball games both nights and missed bidding

  4. Ive been working on my true comics run for years (there's 84 with mail away, I believe)... its a fantastic read in general, and copies are usually dirt cheap ($5-20)
  5. Thanks for the heads up! Im really liking the Lasry copy and maybe the Mid december ending will help me snag the 5.5. Havent seen the 2.5. no images up yet. will have to see how it presents. So the 2.5 ended at 4900$ at heritage.... the 5.5 comicconnect still low with 4 days to go at 5.5k hopefully stays low so i can snag it? it will end up 5 figures
  6. I have done so many conventions over the past few years that I've actually sold more books than I really want to...and my time has been limited to be able to ship books. .however , I don't think I'm doing a con till April of next year so I've considered running one February. We shall see
  7. not aware of any. Not aware of compatible sales
  8. looks like a nice presenting no mc af15 6.5 are going for $50k. the last 4 at auction have ended in that price range and I thought my 33K sale early last year was "strong"
  9. should go for less than 300 (i paid $70 for my vg/fn years ago....how times have changed)
  10. Luckily I had to coach hs basketball today and didn't have ...I mean...get to watch. Whew
  11. id ask her to pop them while I was out of the room A true gentleman. As Clint Eastwood said in 1973, "A man's got to know his limitations." hehe

  13. main variable would be pq. That would drastically affect value imo So no "right"'answer Any chance of providing a rough range. what was the question again I think he wanted FMV of FF1 and Hulk 1 sans covers. a ff1 coverless recently sold for $500 Hulk sold around 1k
  14. west coast shows are not logistically feasible for me to set up at, but I am considering a buying trip to that show this year have really enjoyed the Netflix shows... marvel movies...in no particular order...GotG, Antman, Dr Strange, Avengers , capt civil war no sports cards here I'm afraid
  15. main variable would be pq. That would drastically affect value imo So no "right"'answer Any chance of providing a rough range. what was the question again
  16. I believe I have 1 or 2, but not sure of pq
  17. unfortunately not one I generally stock
  18. not all 3.0'are created equal, so depending on a myriad of variables probably $500-1000
  19. main variable would be pq. That would drastically affect value imo So no "right"'answer
  20. i use gpa for trends and fmv on books that have many, many sales reported over a small window. Outside of that, gpa rarely equals accurate fmv (too limited in source) imo There is certainly demand at certain price points for coverless but the appeal is very limited and unlikely to experience huge growth
  21. As we all know, bob doesn't even list "cgc" prices in the guide and these cover centric cgc driven "classics" aren't likely to ever be broken out. 26,27 (V), 29 (hitler), 30 (flag), 33 (swastika), etc are all wonder raboy covers. Ask parker, it's a tough little run to put together. Many issues seem to rarely be sold or auctioned , especially in decent condition. If you could have only 2 books out of this classic run from Master 26 through 40, which two would the ones that you would be targeting for? 30&33
