  1. yes you can expect it It didn't snow Strike One did you expect snow? If yes, remove the strike
  2. That does not look like a 2.5 structurally more in the fn/vf range. Cover detached at bottom staple only issue I believe
  3. i think a 5.0. Have to finish inv this week and find it Any idea if the Recil Macon Collection contained many of the early Cap's as the collection was supposedly top heavy when it came to the Timely's? Would you know if CGC downgrades the books in this particular collection for all of the excessive writing that Recil did on his books, or does CGC generally ignore this defect on the Macon books since this is the key identifying feature of this pedigree. the recil books I've owned have been in the 3.5 to 7.0 range. Doubt his name has much effect on those grades.
  4. Nice Rick; I've never seen that one. first I've owned. Never had it first time
  5. Spoken like a true graduated graduate of The Redundancy School of Redundancy!
  6. book 5 Fantoman #4 Last issue of the series... tough tough book...won this at auction I believe, and had to way overpay for it, iirc (as much as the 8.0 had sold for years earlier)...and I believe those are the only 2 public sales of the book, so if you need it, and see it, go hard for it!
  7. not aware of it being a pedigree, but I will ask John It was probably the copy he had before he acquired the Denver Copy. If I had to guess it was probably the Calvin Slobodan copy.
  8. i think a 5.0. Have to finish inv this week and find it
  9. Granville Oral Roberts was an American Methodist-Pentecostal televangelist and a Christian charismatic. He founded the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association and Oral Roberts University. Books worth a smidgen
  10. not aware of it being a pedigree, but I will ask John

  12. Detroit Trolley book by any chance? not that I'm aware of?
  13. I always enjoyed that cover. What kind of market value does it usually attain? What's the grade on your copy? Clean looking. IIRC, I paid about $500 for it...probably in the fn/vf or better range
  14. sorry, posting them all, in alpha/chrono order...good stuff comes when it's its turn!
  15. Book 4 This is Fantoman #3... Oct of 1940 Pretty scarce book as well (only like 4 on cgc census, but I suspect not a lot of centaur collectors are not submitting them unless selling)... Not 100% sure where/when/from whom I got this copy...I know it is generally a more obscure, tougher to acquire book Good Gustavson stories and art
  16. structurally really nice. Stain affects numberical grade
  17. Book 3 Fantoman 2 This is actually a book that was intended to be the second issue/continuation from Amazing Adventure Funnies The title is fairly scare. Rarely seen offered for sale with any frequency
