  1. Eric took down his plastered peanuts site a few years ago. Had scans of all his books and wacky art
  2. given that this is the only gorgeous 7.0 29, it is the same copy...owned it for years, and had many folks "want" to buy it, but no one (until bunky) ponied up...
  3. haha...I had to literally convince you to buy that book from me...was like pulling teeth
  4. our local store is largely without cgc slabs for sale...it is just not the market my locals go for (we sell entertainment and encourage comic reading, so slab sales in store are rare).... so, I can see a store, if they are not well versed in cgc , getting duped.... that said, with even minimal research, this copy should have been "sniffed" out as not legit... then again, it obviously wasn't so "buyer beware"... expensive lesson to learn, but my guess is the store will not get duped again...
  5. There were several factors. One, the scarcity. For me, the challenge of collecting is every bit as enjoyable as the acquisition Second, the history/content...once I discovered the pioneers that worked on centaurs (everitt, mills, biro, gustavson, wolverton, Ryan etc etc) you can't help but "marvel" at what they accomplished
  6. Robin has already been featured in bunches of movies
  7. you know it is a crazy high demand book when a copy missing the mvs clears 4 figs. Qualified or not it is an incomplete copy (1.0 or less in my book)
  8. well, keep us posted...I read through the threads with curiosity
  9. a Maryland man bought the 35. Not sure if he is on the boards or not
  10. Supposedly the store that purchased this from an individual has his name and information
  11. Mine didn't sell last month. Guess I needed to price much higher
  12. saw something similar to this shopped around in a fake slab on Facebook not similar, same book one I saw had a full holder and label yep...this is the book before it was put into a mocked up labeled holder (thumbs u
  13. saw something similar to this shopped around in a fake slab on Facebook not similar, same book
  14. and to think you pronounced this book dead for all time a couple years ago The book was dead a few years ago. Couldn't give a copy away at a reasonable price. Glad to see a resurgence
  15. that's awesome man GL to YA hope he's got em'!! that's a good month!! Maybe time for a name change to Centaur Man? Win already has that distinction
  16. Added 10 needed centaurs to my collection today. 1 more in route. 5 more pending and a nice southern gentleman with at least one more I need (hopefully more) and yet another jet setter that might have 1-4 I need (if he would ever get home and check ) 2 coming up in clink auction and this could be a 18-20 + acquisition month!!
  17. I had to deeply discount a slightly brittle BB 28 to get it sold, this just a month ago
