  1. I bet for every slabbed copy I have seen, I run across 4 raw. That is the data that is not incorporated in trying to analyze the books. Sure there are only 10 more blue label as8 on the census compared to action 1 (which metro is proving really is not all that rare either ) but I bet there are 20 to 1 raw copies available so that really skews perception when you have a broader market scope
  2. I find AS 8, WW 1 and Sens 1 are easy to buy and sell at the right price... however, there is ample supply across all grades, to meet current demand... by that definition it not only cannot be "rare", but would be considered to be "plentiful" (in a relative term) now sure, if you are putting criteria on a purchase (no "warts" etc), then you do drastically reduce the available supply, and the book becomes "rarer" by comparison, but there is NOTHING rare about AS 8 or Sens 1 or WW 1 (thumbs u
  3. Nice! Lots of good stuff end up in the "A" box. What about "B"?
  4. collection is on the way to sdcc, but I did take some shots and post later, just for "fun"...
  5. I love a happy ending, and the fact that you got your book too
  6. Love it! Nice looking copy of a cool book. Congrats Bill! Sorry I missed the show. Here is the splash page to this book. Just fantastic! I was with you a few years ago when we went over to gene's booth in chicago...you sure himmed and hawwed over that book...glad you secured it (thumbs u
  7. here are some "A's" from a collection I recently picked up...a nice GA grouping
  8. I just bought a 500 or so book collection of golden age comics...mostly gga and some really cool books (missing gerber covers, etc)... unfortunately, I had to send the books to sd already in order for them to reach the con by next week, but if anyone wants a preview list, shoot me a PM and after sd, I will start a sales thread!
  9. ok, haspel confirmed that tec 27 back cover and action 12 back covers are identical ineterior and exterior , I was thinking of a diff "issue" (thumbs u
  10. if I wanted the book for me, I might restore it...has great paper, so while it would be pricey (like 2K) to do, it would be pretty nice when done (of course, would take some time, I imagine)... however, I bought this copy specifically to resell at some point (sdcc maybe) and so I feel better to leave "untouched" for now, and let the new owner decide... fairly rare opp imo, to obtain a copy at a "reasonable" price (not a ciorac price ) but, I will stop spamming the book now
  11. just fascinating and great stuff in here (thumbs u
  12. The back cover is the same, but I can't vouch for the inside back cover. If memory serves, and Action 12 was used as the donor copy for a back cover married to a Tec 27 I previously owned. Perfect match inside and out. don't think so...if we are talking about the same book, the tec 27 back cover was from a copy of tec 27 pretty sure the back cover of action 12 (don't recall if interior or exterior) has some minor ad difference, but I would have to ask haspel to confirm
  13. Oh, but which issue between 1-24 could it be! I can only imagine you are being two coy with us cheater, you already know! Will you be wearing a tu-tu & singing a tune when you pick up said comic? we do have us some fun in gold, don't we!

  15. I sold this copy last week, josh was just reporting the sale...it was listed sold (thumbs u
  16. 4K seems like a reasonable price to me. Do you plan on having this one slabbed prior to sale? no plan at all to slab this copy...it is actually pretty cool to have to open and read and "enjoy"
