  7. Thank you for sharing these wonderful stories. It is brave of you to reveal so much. I would offer another perspective on your journey. Not one of chance, but one of the power of human will. Every one of thousands of decisions you made led you to that dry stone fountain. Not chance, but your choice and your determination. What you have done along the way is a testament to the power of your spirit. Thanks again for sharing - this story, and all the great comics.
  8. Last of the run... Also an interior pic from #11, with a Little Nemo-inspired girl dreamer. Great Meagher art on the whole run...

  14. Several years ago, found an old mesh net Christmas stocking filled with cheap toys. Noticed that there was a comic book rolled up and stuffed in the stocking. Over the years, I've picked up several. Here is a group shot.
  15. A couple of years ago I posted a great promotional Christmas comic book called Goin' Back Home For Christmas. Recently found several other booklets by the same artist. Great nostalgic looks at old time Christmases! Several covers, one sample interior page. Also, several of these were produced with velvet covers around the interiors. One pic showing versions with and without the velvet cover.
  16. Bumping this thread for those who might not have seen all the Christmas covers here...
  17. Found this photo on this cool blog post. Wonder what's in the stack behind her?
  18. Finally picked up a decent copy of this. Looks like a crime comic, and in fact does contain three crime stories. But it also contains one of my favorite pre-code horror stories, which is also one of my favorite Jay Disbrow stories, a Lovecraftian little tale called "Ultimate Destiny!"
  19. What a great find! A great discovery! That's what's really exciting about comic collecting - there are still great finds to be made!
  20. Wasn't sure if this should go in the Anti-Communist Comics thread...but figured this sort of fit "In The Shadow Of The Atomic Age"...
  21. That is great, thanks for posting it!
  22. Holy Moley, BB! Restarting it with nitrous!
