I think with the right presser doing the work, you would be amazed how much a difference it’ll make on this book. Perhaps an aqueous bath will solve the “moisture” issue.
current state I would put it in the 4.0 range

4.5 for me. Thanks for posting

I do not have my books graded, however, from what I have been reading on this site is that CGC is not/has not been very consistent on grading.
Bingo. Raw books in a nice Mylar with a top loader look brilliant imo. But of course, collect what you like!

Inside looks good. I'd say white to offwhite pages. Center wrap may be detached (or only barely hanging on). Thanks for looking!
If it’s detached, then that will hurt your chances with overall grade.

How does the inside look?
judging by the front and back cover, VG seems appropriate

Interested in seeing if anyone has any further perspective on the stains
thanks everyone!

Unless it’s iron man #1… I wouldn’t bother pressing and grading. You won’t get your ROI but I do really like the cover on issue 3… a nice Mylar bag will do these raw copies wonders.

9.0-9.2 seeing a few bends on the backside top of book

With the right press work, I can see this getting as high as an 8.5. Couple color breaking tics but that’s all I saw. Nice book

Whoohoo! Finally got the results everyone was anticipating. I’m sure you are happy with the blue label vs getting the green…

Take a stab at it for 9.6… CGC has seen this book a million times. Maybe they overlook the staple issues and gift you a higher grade than anticipated.

By far the worst I've ever done in one of these. I'm trading in my comics to buy a new pair of glasses!
I agree!!

As it stands, it’s probably in the 8.0 range (more 8.5) but with a proper press this book is so eye appealing I don’t see it getting any lower than 9.0 for sure. Awesome book!

I think a 9.6 was right on the money. Corners are too soft and there’s some spine stress. Thanks for posting Jeff!

7.0 range for me. Still a very nice book

5 points, 2 bullseyes. I was too harsh on the SW8, gave it a 7.0.
@Jesse-Lee Same for me! Really surprised at the outcome. I thought CGC hits harder on rusted staples

5.0 max.
I’ll agree with @scburdet I have a 6.0 copy that I cracked out of its holder and it looks a bit better than this one. Awesome book either way!

Nailed that flash AND spidey 79… half a grade off on the rest aside from secret wars 8… really good learning opportunity as I had no clue how the rust would affect the overall grade
