  1. 52 is one of my favorite things DC ever published. A weekly series with four writers, it shouldn't have worked, and yet, somehow, it did! For a brief time, DC was hitting on all cylinders, with the various projects dovetailing into their big events, then follow-ups. I think it sort of lost steam with "Countdown", but 52 was the peak. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it starred some of my absolute favorite DC characters, like Booster Gold and The Question, but I also loved how it touched on all corners of the DCU. We got the dark and serious stuff, but we also got the goofy stuff, all of the things I love about DC. Just a terrific series, and indeed, that omni is a wristbreaker!
  2. I liked Strange Adventures, but am good with my standard hc. However, I will be all over the Absolute of Mister Miracle when it hits, really loved that one.
  3. Unforunately no, but since there's no hard end date, I take that to mean it'll last until their stock is back down to the level they want it to be at, sort of the same way IST will put a title on clearance, and after it sells xyz amount of copies, it goes back up to full price.
  4. Thanks bud! I mean, these little guys are almost NEVER there, I hadn't even thought to check until I lifted the hood to clean the car. First time it's ever happened for me!
  5. Awesome! I'm always hoping someone can grab a good deal when I post this stuff! Happy to share the news!
  6. Happy surprise! I was starting the process of cleaning up all of these toys, and realized that the DK-1 "Red Sunstreaker" had the pilot inside. Score!
  7. I love it! This is the sort of thing I'd have had no idea about, and now I get the identification AND a good story! Can't beat it, thanks!
  8. Back to the top! So, Captain America by Nick Spencer wasn't a volume that I was in any big hurry to pick up, but I did plan to eventually get it to keep my Cap HC run going. Cheap Graphic Novels has "Nick and Dent" copies available for $20. After tax and shipping it came to right about $30. My copy arrived today, and it looks flawless to me. Of course YMMV, but for the cost I think it's worth the risk if this is one you're thinking of getting. https://cheapgraphicnovels.com/captain-america-by-nick-spencer-omnibus-vol-01-hc-saiz-cvr-nick-and-dent- Also, CGN is having a Marvel 50% off sale on several books. It may not be a mind-blowing discount, but it safely makes for a better deal than current prices at IST, or the Target B2G1 sale. FF by Hickman 1 & 2 for $50 each, stuff like that. Worth a look. https://cheapgraphicnovels.com/marvel-sale-2024/
  9. All right, the verdict is in: this is not a toy! ha Very good, thanks guys!
  10. AWESOME! Thanks bud! I hadn't even looked at Joe parts, because everything I picked up looks to be Micronauts/Transformers/Starriors, etc. Didn't even think about checking the Joe guide. Much appreciated!
  11. And one last request sent into the ether. My Toy Fu apparently isn't what it used to be, I can't seem to find these, feels obvious but i'm not coming up with it. If you know, I'll send you a virtual hug!
  12. Oh and I know the one guy at the top is a Terminator figure, but don't recognize the yeller feller, if anyone of you do. Thanks again!
  13. Been spending some time IDing parts today, I have this totally random assortment of stuff left. I think most of it is literally junk, but I'm mostly curious abou tthe black thing cicled in blue, if anyone recognizes it. I've ID'd everything that is crossed out in red. The rest of the stuff I'm assuming is junk or not worth IDing, but anyone sees something they recognize, let me know! Oh, and if anyone knows what line these little army guys came from, that would be cool too!
  14. I had the Godzilla as a kid (and God knows where he went) but never had the Rodan. I've watched them online for years, but was really wanting to find one in person at a decent price. He's not perfect, but he's good enough for now!
  15. Thanks Chip. For the moment I'm sitting on the Star Wars stuff, but if I decide to let them go, I'll let you know.
  16. Yeah, at first I wasn't sure I was looking at it correctly, surely I was wrong, but nope, appears to be the real deal! No gaffi stick, but I can deal with that.
  17. Oh shoot, I forgot the Star Wars! Picked up a bunch of guys, highlights were the hollow cheek/tubes Tusken, Fett with blaster, and a blue saber/snap Jedi Luke (no blaster though, unfortunately.) Several complete figures, and another group of loose guys, but lots of fun. I'm telling myself I'm not going to start collecting Star Wars again. Not going to do it. Must resist.
  18. Thank you sir, means a lot coming from you, king of the Cool Stuff!
  19. And finally, the Belles of the Ball, the Reasons for the Season, the guys I really wanted: Shogun Warriors! These boys are all a bit grimy, need a good cleaning. These are for ME. I'll be getting some sticker sets for Daimos and Dragun, after I clean them up, maybe get some repro accessories as well. The real find was Rodan. One of my long time Grails. Missing a back talon and one of the wing clips is busted, but he still displays nicely. Couldn't be much happier!
  20. Now we're getting into the stuff I like. Imperial Monsters, rough paint, but I'll still keep them. These Mego Die-Cast Spideys are absolutely GORGEOUS...except each one has a chipped thumb. Total bummer, the paint is beautiful. These are really neat, I've never had anything from this set before, but I feel like I may need them all now. Most exciting from this group was the lot marked "Go-Bots", which actually only included ONE Go-Bot, as well as 2/3 of G1 Reflector, and a goldang Diaclone Red Sunstreaker! Also a lot of G1 junk that will add up to nice money when parted out, including a complete Ravage.
  21. Next, the slightly better stuff, including a butt-ton of Dragon Riders of the Styx, some incomplete Micronauts, and a ton of Starriors stuff I have to sort through. Maybe some Zoids stuff in there too, I know there's a lot around here somewhere that I bid on.
  22. As I mentioned in the Garage/Flea thread, I picked up a pretty nice haul at an Estate Auction yesterday. Lots of stuff to go through! Estate was of a former antique dealer, so there was a ton of furniture, dolls, costume jewelry, etc but also a very nice selection of 70's and 80's toys. There was a ton of D&D stuff, but I don't know enough about it to make a serious bid, I wouldn't know the value on that stuff, so I let it go. SO what did I get? Let's start with the junk. Nothing fancy, but at the price paid, a little money to be made. The ERTL Die-cast Bats are for me!
  23. Yup, nailed it, that's been a grail for me for some time now, so while I picked up a lot of stuff, that's the one I was zeroed in on. Lots of pics coming to the Plastic Crack thread momentarily.
