  1. I think this begs the question: When one is shrunk to a size that allows one to be inserted into a test tube and a mad scientist is melting the poor fellow a tube or two over, which of the following is considered the appropriate response? a) Mug the woman next to you b) Flirt with the man next to you c) Examine the melted leftovers of the person next to you or d) Freak the hell out!
  2. How was the attendance at the statistics events and were the cheerleaders pretty?
  3. This is the only cover image I have seen of the Italian army. I'm not 100 % certain it is the Italians (could be Germans stationed in Italy), but the map is of Italy and the tag line does say the Jr. Rangers are invading Italy. Unfortunately, the story inside involves the Jr. Rangers and some British commandos invading a coastal French town. No mention of Italy.
  4. A nice little flag cover that just came back from CGC:
  5. So, which one of these is the Chinese counterfeit?
  6. That is a beauty. If I'm not mistaken, from a Bedrock sales thread?
  7. Man, I still have trouble detecting trimming on some books (and apparently, so does the dealer I bought this from )
  8. I enjoyed them, especially the flame-thrower. (thumbs u +1 (and I'm fond of #5 with Patton on the cover)
  9. Now that is a lovely book. I wish all my 4.5s looked like that!
  10. Picked this up in Chicago in August. Got it back from CGC today. It's one of my favorites in the run.
  11. I'm not really a teen humor collector, but I thought I had one of these around here and, sure enough, here it is: [/img]
  12. Love them Reilly Timelys West! Your MMC 44 is most excellent too! (thumbs u Now I have to clean my keyboard ... drool all over it. Thanks! I may be wrong, but to my knowledge, this may be the only WWII Russian comic book cover. I can think of a couple others (and I apologize for not having scans of any of these). Captain America #27 and Speed #25 clearly show Russian troops. Master #43 probably depicts Jr. frolicking with Russians. Catman #3 has Stalin on the cover and America's Best #10 has Doc Strange carrying the Russian flag. And this one shows a Russian:
  13. Here are a couple of books that I've had for a number of years. The More Fun #52 had extensive (and not very well done) amateur restoration and seemed to be a good candidate for a makeover. And the Flash #1 was already restored (Bill Sarrill's work), but had sustained some damage after it was stolen from me and carted around the country (apparently in a duffel bag) by the thieves. Off to Classics Inc. and Matt and Kenny did that voodoo that they do and here are the results. Thank you, guys! If anyone would like to see the work done to the More Fun, here's a link to some photos of the work: More Fun #52 restoration process
  14. Bought some raw books at Heroes in June and dropped them off with CGC for grading. Now, just 5 short months later, here's a couple of them. A big thanks to G.A.tor! And also for this one:
