FF8 for me. If they did a next-gen console version of this game, and then a sequel using the same battle systems and such, I'd finally get something newer than my PS2.

Early thoughts on DS'sII

 

There are a few button layout changes, they fixed the jump, so it's easier to pull off without accidentally rolling. That's a plus. There is literally no tutorial stage, the game basically pats you on the bum and says: "good luck little undead, you'll need it"

 

The difficulty is through the roof, you started Dark souls with five Estus flasks (for those not hip to the lingo, you can heal yourself five times). Well apparently that was them being generous.....you now get one.

 

Enemy's attacks are harder to read, and the AI seems much smarter..... God help us all

I really like the redesign of the batsuit in The Dark Knight.

Is this real? What say you?

 

i don't know but it does look interesting

 

I bet that is just a statue, as the suit looks too movie-traditional. The way Kevin Smith and Zack Snyder have gone crazy over the new suit, there is something different about the design that differs from anything else shown.

 

What that is remains to be seen.

It looks very much like Jim Lee's design of Batman.

Congrats, that's crazy. I put 20+ hours in and the game kicked my spoon, and sent me packing. I need to sack up and get back in; I was enjoying it, it's just hard as balls, especially for someone with my meager gaming skills.

I got my kicked playing Dark Souls as well

But I wanted the platinum that bad

I did have other players help me with some of the tougher bosses.

So is it fun or just very difficult? It sounds incredibly tedious from what I've read, but also like a lot of fun

You're going to died a lot.

But after you beat a boss,you'll feel like you can take on anyone (until you die again )

I recommend Pyromancer class for first time players.

I'm more worried about the -script.

 

The casting of Jamie Bell means that The Thing will be CGI.

 

Bell has done motion capture before with the TinTin movie.

i think i got the best movie title "Man of Steel: Public Enemies" and not a bad read in a few weeks we should see some announcements happening.

I made it through perhaps the most evil video game level ever conceived over the weekend, Blighttown. if you play or have played Dark Souls you will understand why I think this game level is pure evil.

Have you been to Tomb of the Giants yet?

That's a tough level too.

 

Dark Souls is the most evil game I've ever played

It's more evil than Ghost & Goblins :pullhair:

 

I can't tell how many times I died in the game (enough to make the Grim Reaper retire early )

Tomb of the giants is tough, but you can bait the enemies to attack one by one, whereas in Blighttown they swarm. And Blighttown has those snipers who can make you toxic with two hits from their darts.

 

Ok, to revise my previous claim that Blighttown was pure evil. Sen's Fortress, is pretty evil too.
