  1. Do other copies have similar marks? Could be from the printing process and not factored into the grade.
  2. I've recently been reading through some DC 100 page Giants from the early to mid-70s. I've noticed on a few of my copies that the first few pages are separating from the spine. Is this a common issue with these giants, or is it just a sign of a very good or lower condition grade? I have been trying to upload a picture I took but keep getting the error -200. Any ideas?
  3. Welcome to the bords. Agreed. This type of crease will garner no higher than a 6.0 assuming the rest of the book looks good. Maybe a 6.5.
  4. Wow. The second book has clearly had a bath. Crazy.
  5. I think it got hammered for the tape stains, and I'm not sure the grade would improve if those stains cannot be removed.
  6. I have had a horrible time extracting books from the new slab. Thanks for the suggested tools.
  7. Probably shouldn't have sent it in if you wanted to keep the 9.8. The graders will be blinded to the previous grade and have no knowledge of it.
  8. Facts are facts but there are certainly more important things to worry about.
  9. Overstreet lists batman 361 as the 1st appearance of Harvey Bullock. It notes that a Lt. (not detective) Bullock is mentioned in detective 441 but that no first name is mentioned so it is incorrect to say that dectective 441 is the first appearance of "Harvey" Bullock.
  10. Umm. Why does the label incorrectly state this book as the first appearance of Harvey Bullock? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=162380036051&globalID=EBAY-US
  11. Very shady. I've never come across a charity that give you a 3 day Bahamas vacation for donating.
  12. If they don't fix this, it could significantly affect their business over time. Their response is not acceptable.
  13. Well, at least he/she explains it in the revised description: "It has come to my attention from eBay memebers that my first two photos do not match up. This is correct, I fear in my carelessness when I took cover photo two I accidentally took out peice of the front cover all from its side. I apologize I did not see this error. Thanks for users pointing it out to me." Doesn't appear too concerned that this accident cost him/her thousands of dollars. Not addressed: the countless other things that make the two pictures not the same book. Wow! If he took a piece out from taking a picture I don't know how he/she survives brushing his/her teeth every morning.
  14. His description clearly states that the comic pictured is not the book that is being sold. The use of a sample image is not uncommon, but reputable dealers make it very clear, even at the risk of running off potential buyers. I know. I was being facetious. Yeah, a stock image is fine for some random nothing book (I suppose), but nobody legit whould use one for an AF15. Agreed. I was mainly adding unnecessary commentary. and the book in his posting is neither in stock or a reprint
  15. What a scumbag. Still doesn't clearly state that this is a reprint. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Fantasy-15-/231022142931?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item35c9fe25d3
  16. shame it's not possible to e-mail bidders and let them know it's a reprint
  17. reported as fraudulent as well. don't know that his cut and paste will cover him as the specs/pics/title at the top represent the comic as the original. hard to believe someone can sleep at night doing this to another human being.
  18. This is a prime example of why it is always good to have more than one legitimate company.
  19. Delirium tremens makes signing hard.
  20. Yeah that graph looks like the book needs to ask its family doctor for some Viagra.
