I'm not sure why you wouldn't consider the two I just picked up keys. They're the respective #1s from both series from the publisher.im only referring to the aussie keys, not the aussie 2 you just picked up...Anyway... I just got this one in today from Thailand. Justice League of America #69 from the Death of Superman crossover.

I've found that, in general, these Australian books are somewhat tough to track down. The oddest part is there's conflicting information from people in Australia about them. The majority of those I've talked to have told me there's no real interest in them from collectors, they're looked at with the indigenous bias that seems to plague many foreign published books and are considered to have virtually no value whatsoever. However Tony (solarcadet) seems to keep getting the opposite story, that the local collectors won't generally let go of them and that many of the key books are expensive and highly sought after. I don't know for sure which story is true but I've been lucky enough to be able to pry these loose over the last couple of years.

Yes, these were the #1s for both titles. In both cases it seems like a strange place to start publishing. That is sweet – so those are the first issues? -

I never said anything about wanting him back on the boards. As far as I'm concerned I'd like to see you both gone.
Yeah... you're right. Unfortunately for you it also shows that even when offered a full refund, regardless of how long it took, that wasn't good enough for you. Of course once someone pointed out that in another situation zombizzy fully refunded the buyer and let them keep the books you seemed to be all about that. Regardless of what's posted in you kudos thread, based on that action alone, I can guarantee you and I will not be doing business at any time.its about how soneone does business and I think the point was made.Nor would I want someone doing business with me that wants someone like zombizzy back on the boards

This was my thought as well.In this case, I'm more likely to put A.Romeo on my own "don't deal with" list. Both buyer and seller in this situation are wrong on so many counts. -
Nice.
As far as pricing goes... you just have to kind of wing it.

GCD is pathetically lacking in information on foreign books. They do have some stuff but there's no cross reference for issue content or titles. There's a few foreign hosted sites that have done a much nicer job of that than GCD.
There was a good amount of stuff going back to at least the '50s that was printed in the UK and distributed in Australia as well. (thumbs uIt's either Australian or British.True, it could be British. In fact, the address for the publisher on the back does look British.
It's British for sure. The thing I cannot figure is that the GCD for this title/publisher has only two issues (of 18) listed.
Here's a link to one of the partially indexed "Lassie's" - Number 2. Note that it has the same cover as your #6, just a little different colouring.
What I find hard to figure is the earlier book (#2) is priced at 8d. This one (#6) is priced at 6d.
2d less for the later book.
One possibility is the page count dropped. I note the #8 has a cover blurb announcing 28pp. Nothing on the earlier one (and GCD is of no use here).

It's either Australian or British.I purchased this comic from Dave's Comics in Royal Oak, MI, circa 1985. I believe it must be Australian. It's undersized and very glossy. The interior is B&W, and the pages are very fresh - I'm guessing the paper is higher quality than that used for American Comics. -

I don't think that globally 38 people is a lot. Of course when you add up all their shill accounts that might be a third of the people on ebay. So, I've never had to come to probation before, is this the thread where I would bring up an eBay non-paying bidder?thudpounce
Based out of California, got angry when I actually expected him to pay for his ebay win in a timely manner.
After I blocked him from further bids, he's left retalitory negative feedback (that now can't be removed).
He finally paid for the item 2 weeks after it ended (and five days after I blocked him) to which I refunded and said that book was no longer available to him.
I wanted to post this in Comics General but another boardie suggested here first.
I just wanted to let others know of this egg so they would have the option to block him if they wished.
Thoughts?
Thanks Rich. I've added this guy to my eBay blocked bidders list which is now up to 38 people!
No wonder my eBay sales have sucked this year. A lot of people can't buy my stuff.

Found them, they're listed as Los 4 Fantastic.

I thought I saw one before too but searching through the census on CGC's site I couldn't find it.Looking at the census there's no La Prensa or Trans World FF #1 listed so if there is another slabbed copy out there somewhere I don't know what it's listed under. There is at least one: a Blue Label, high grade LaPrensa FF#1, which sold for good money at either Comicconnect or Metropolis. I recall I saw the article (with picture) last year.

Looking at the census there's no La Prensa or Trans World FF #1 listed so if there is another slabbed copy out there somewhere I don't know what it's listed under.P.S. Why CGC insists in writing "Marvel Comics", which is not clearly the publisher, in the foreign editions. It should have read "La Prensa, 9/62", with details in the label notes (i.e. "Mexican edition of Fantastic Four #1").I have been having the same problem with CGC for awhile.
Would you guys be interested in helping me compile a list for CGC to reference?
CGC's quality control im afraid when it comes to foreigns is cr_ap lately! Such an amazing book and all they had to do was look at the indicia and see La Prensa publishing? Also it doesn't say "Mexican edition"? WTF guys..... honestly if I was Hector I might consider this needing to be re-holdered? Highly important info is completely missing? Also this probably jacks up the census because I know I have seen a La Prensa FF1 properly identified.
GCG needs a foreign expert sooner rather than later..... this books handling is shameful. Liam, I like the idea of providing CGC with some lists or database info but there should be something in it for you son, dont do this for free!

Nice!
You can always count on Claudio to deliver great books.

These are just the Mexican editions. I don't think one post would be able to contain everything I've got.The italian #232 is missing, Tim… Did you wait until we (hopefully) find a better copy? -
Here's my (somewhat) completed Adams Bat-run. It's not exactly complete as far as being all inclusive but it's all of the ones I set out to find when I started. I threw in the two Detective 425s at the end even though they're Wrightson, not Adams, just because... well who doesn't love some Bernie Wrightson Batman?

Did I ever tell you I'm psychic? I see an older version of that cover in your future. From 40 years ago -
