I just got a copy of this one last week. I assume it will be a good read too. -

I like this cover too, and nice copy. Another added to the want list. -

Two Fredric Brown books with "carny" settings. I liked Madball but Dead Ringer has been the favorite of the 5 or 6 Brown books I've read. I bought this one for the cover but really enjoyed it. An autobio of a year the author spent in a traveling carnival as a successful fire eater, sword (and neon tube) swallower, mentalist and failed human pincushion. Some crazy stories, fascinating people and insights into that way of life. -

There Will Come Soft Rains is a real stand out. I heard the radio version first, then read it in the book. I haven't read the Wood version but recently started collecting EC's and the WF #17 is high on my want list because of this story. I didn't know it was first published in Collier's. Thanks for the info and nice looking copy. -

A couple Maguire covers. This is the 3rd printing and 2nd different cover of Female Convict. Randall Dowling posted a nice first printing a few days ago. I like how Maguire's initials look like they were scrawled on the wall by an inmate. Here's Maguire's first paperback cover (with a Wertham intro.). -
My odd western observance of the day: Matt Baker used a different style signature on all three covers of Western Bandit Trails.

The Martian Chronicles was a must for me as soon as I started collecting pb's. I first read it about 25 years ago after hearing some segments of it in the old radio show Dimension X. I didn't know anything about the Anderson book and bought it on a whim, but I liked it a lot. -

Some Bruno Fischer's. The first print of House of Flesh is the one with the dog. The 2nd print was 7 months later. -

Another great group of books, Surfing Alien. I added both Maguire covers to my list but this one's a real beauty. -

I have this non-high grade copy. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a high grade copy posted by Mr. B a few years ago. Shocking, I know.

That splash would have made a great cover.

I happened to run across his series this weekend too and watched the First 10 Pocket Book and First 50 Lion episodes. I really liked them and learned a lot in just those two episodes. He showed off some great looking books too. I assume some of those books are a lot rarer than a new collector like me can appreciate. -

I don't have enough to worry about overflow yet, but I do need to find some good book bags. Anyone have recommendations for a high quality bag that still has good spine visibility? -
