  1. Finished my Tarzan "African Tribesman" back cover run. All low or mid graders but I enjoy the series (I've read #1-33). Thanks to Scrooge for the nudge. Top row #8-11 (left to right), middle row #12-16, bottom row #17-20
  2. That's a great run of books and would love to see the rest as they come back.
  3. Do you have a copy, Adam? I'd love to see it if you do. No I do have a copy of another issue with a title unlikely to ever get off the ground. While Mountain Very cool cover! On a related note I have started collecting precode horror books with "The Walking Dead" on the cover. I have Astonishing 10 and Menace 9...anyone know of any others? I have branched out to include the dead who Walk as well. I can't wait to have fun on local comic conventions if someone asks me if I have any walking dead books Here are a few (thanks to GCD). Dark Mysteries #16, Phantom Lady #15, This Mag is Haunted #6 and Web of Evil #12.
  4. That's an excellent collection of pre codes and you can't go wrong closing with a great Wolverton book.
  5. Thanks, guys. I agree the Mask #2 looks great for a 3.0. I was lucky I happened to be on the computer when it came up for sale.
  6. A mini group shot of 1945 L.B. Cole goodness. (Thanks to shrunkenhead for the #2).
  7. Another cool book Scrooge. Thanks to you guys posting books like this, my urge to start collecting the whole Four Color run gets stronger all the time. I don't know if I should thank you guys or hate you.
  8. This one always stood out to me also. Marty, It's been great seeing so many cool books from your collection since you got the scanner. Hope to see plenty more.
  9. Great books cheetah. I especially like the Central Valleys. It seems that a large percentage of the books I see from that collection are just flat out beautiful.
  10. I agree, I'd love to see a nicely done reprint of the series.
  11. There was an exclamation point in the Syd Shores story "Samson!".
  12. Here are a few recent additions: Silver #6 (very slowly chipping away at this run). From very deep in the shadows of the Atomic Age is Bible Tales #2. (Some great artists in this series).
  13. I just noticed all the Lone Rangers Scrooge. Great haul. Nice EC's also, AJD. The war books are the only main EC titles I haven't read yet. On my list though.
  14. Great book and gift, well worth the cross-post.
  15. Definitely one of my favorite (and underated) PCH covers also. Hopefully you already have a high grade copy so I'd at least have hope if one shows up in an auction.
  16. Here are a couple I picked up for the covers but enjoyed the insides of as well. Unseen #14. Weird Terror #7 (thanks rjpb). I especially liked the Monsters of the Deep story from Unseen #14.
  17. Thanks The covers to #2 and #4 aren't nearly as nice as #1 and #3, but since there are only four of them in the run I hope to track them down one day. These two have taken years to find though I agree that #2 isn't on the same level as #1 and #3 but #4 is in a whole different universe.
  18. Another great addition to the collection. Makes me want to listen to some Shadow OTR.
  19. Here's one of my favorite Cole books. One of these days I'll get a #2.
  20. Wow, what a beautiful cover. That's just a great looking copy of my favorite Cole book. I'd also love to see the Church copy.
