  1. Worth way more than the X-men 109 Byrne page IMO! My gosh!
  2. When I was referring to ASM Romita, I meant Bronze Age covers, not Silver Age. The ASM Annual #7 cover went for 87k. The ASM 90 and 91 went for over 100k, but not by much. And 3 ASM covers under #100 went for around 100k or less, but they certainly were not A covers. But my point was you can do a lot with 100k other than buy this page.
  3. $100k for this page? Man you guys are throwing around some heavy numbers! You can get a decent Romita ASM cover for $100k. I know which one I’d prefer!
  4. For sure! I find it interesting that both the newest and oldest Ditko Ditko pages are represented here. AF 15 pages are now owned by the government, and no ASM pgs from 1-4 have ever been on the open market. I wonder how Ditko ended up getting those 2 stories? Was it random? Many say that Ditko quit ASM in the middle of issue 38 and someone else inked a lot of those pages. Being the purest we know Ditko to be, I’m surprised he’d want it or keep it. I’d think that ASM 38 would just be an annoying reminder to Ditko of things gone bad.
  5. How much are those 2 complete stories worth? I’d guess $5-6 million for the pair.
  6. Not sure I’d go all the way out there to view photo copies, but glad to see Ditko’s getting his due!
  7. I’m going to disagree with your Daredevil example. Any solid character will have those collectors who will buy pieces they are not nostalgically linked to. Some Golden Age Superman art isn’t all that great artistically but still sells well, and no one remembers buying that stuff as a kid! So 25 years from now Colan Daredevil will be bought and sold at a decent rate just as 40’s art Superman is today. What will go down to dumpster levels in 25 years are insignificant characters that are barely a blip even today.
  8. I think there is a distinction between “bad” art vs unpopular art. Although, bad art is usually unpopular, but not always!
  9. All the Famous Funnies Frazetta covers exist. Just pick the one you like the most!
  10. I think the cover to House of Secrets #92 would sell for more than the Action 15 cover. I know there are two Ditko ASM covers known to exist! The splash to X-Men #1 might be a contender.
  11. Dang Jeff, how many statues and busts do you have now? 50ish?
  12. Not GA, but Archie's been doing innuendo covers for 80 years!
  13. 150k should get you a pretty good Ditko page. The Kraven battle page went for 144k last week in HA.
  14. Having worked at CGG for 7 years, I can tell you CGC is an afterthought for both Steve E. and Mark S. I’d bet the same holds true for Blackwell. 99% of the funds allocated will go towards the company’s money-maker (NGC) and new ventures.
  15. Cavewoman cover by Budd Root, Action Comics #1 cover swipe! https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=756458
  16. Is cgc raising their prices in the middle of a pandemic attributed to the state of the market, or the state of the Blackwell buy out?
