  1. A friend of mine owns the Edgar Church/Mile High Copy of Detective Comics #140. It has not been graded. I’m sure it’s either NM or NM+ on the original MH list.
  2. Mine is the 2nd print from 1964, much rarer than the 1st print. I’m guessing they didn’t make as many.

  5. I’ve had these stickers forever, since I was a little kid. They may have even been my mothers. They are pretty beat up. They all have a copyright date of 1958. Anybody know anything about them? Are they rare or valuable?
  6. Show rip-off or not, I’m glad there will be another attempt to make an OA show, but this will only work if the art is priced within reason. If not, it’s a waste of their time and ours. I like Bechara a lot! I just bought a piece from him last week. What I like about this is we get more access to him, which for me, is a good thing. I know he’s got A LOT of great art squired away. He’s a knowledgeable guy with similar tastes to what most of us like. Again, the prices have to be right, otherwise the show will not sustain.
  7. It may be here... in Star Wars #25 from July 1979... well before Empire came out!
  8. For sale: 13 issues of Faust #1-10 Rebel Editions & regular editions. All are high grade except 1 which is low grade. Many of these sell for $80-$125 a piece graded! For sale at $225, free conus shipping! Check or paypal only.
  9. A TRUE hoarder would not be bothered by such details as to already owning a copy!
  10. No HOS or Probies. First in the thread gets the item. PayPal or check. Shipping is included. USA shipping only. LOOK Magazine from Feb 1940 with Siegel and Shuster commissioned strip on How Superman Would End the War. Superman captures Hitler & Stalin, bringing them to trial.Rita Hayworth cover. Highly desirable magazine. Very nice condition, one of the best I've seen. White Pages! $175
  11. And why are they all levitating off the ground? and why is Captain America punching the air? and why is Spider-Man about to fall on his head? and why is Iron Man’s feet so small? and why are the Thing and Dr. Strange just standing there? and how can the Human Torch turn on a dime at a 90 degree angle? and when will Thor finally cut his hair? and when will anybody notice the Invisible Girl? Or is she a woman now? and for that matter, where is Mr. Fantastic? Is he really the Sub-Mariner in disguise? That would be a stretch!
  12. Agreed, Ditko Spider-Man battle pages are few and far between! Only a few hundred even exist!
  13. There are many differences between all the different pedigrees. Different codes and markings, different smells, different texture to how the cover feels, different defects commonly associated with a given pedigree. For example, I noticed many of the early Lost Valley books almost seem slightly brittle. For some reason the paper is extremely thin and it doesn’t take much to tear them. San Francisco Copies are the Whitest of all the 1940’s pedigrees. They have the crispest feel to them, but the colors and inks don’t “pop” like the Church books do. Crippen books have a more dirty feel to them with minor to moderate foxing. They have a STRONG musky odor to them. Big Apple Copies smell like gas, Ohio Copies smell like blue cheese. I could go on and on... it’s like you could write an entire book on it!
  14. Here is the only Edgar Church sci-fi piece I’ve ever seen. 1910.
